I bought this item because i was building my own PC case from acrylic. it has 11 fans and i needed to harness that power in some way.
on my last case i bought the Kaze Q (the 4 fan version) and i loved it. the brushed metal finish is just stunning so i knew i wanted the same for my own case design. the Q12 is better as you have COMPLETE control over the fans. on the Kaze Q (which is awesome btw) your range went from slowest to fastest. the Q12 goes from OFF to fastest. great for when im sleeping :D the item itself is stunning (assuming its right for the systems aesthetic). whats also great is the the knobs are removable. you can put them back on at different angles from the way they come so you can set your own OFF mark and FULL mark range. which of course i did :)
my only gripe with the item (and its a small one) is that the control knobs are very easy to pull over my accident. not that then come straight off straight away, but if you apply any pulling pressure at all when turning they slide forward gradually. so it a few times and the knobs is in your hand....then you need to find that sweet spot that you have it placed at before. it is a little annoying, but as i said, its small potatoes.
