Product Description

Review

"Fielding's visual art is not a million miles away from the disturbing world of Nabootique he and Barratt create in The Mighty Boosh and it's no surprise that his depictions of talking crocodiles, Mick Jagger and disturbing fox-men - Matt Groening meets Hieronymous Bosch - have become highly prized collectibles" (Evening Standard)

"The boy can paint. What's more, his offbeat, pop-art pictures are seriously commercial. Stylistically, it's somewhere between Henri Rousseau and Tove Jansson, creator of The Moomins" (Independent)

"This coffee-table-classic is to be a Mighty Book indeed" (The Sun)

Book Description

This book is a brilliant showcase of Noel's art and mind. The cover is a hardback and squishy which is a nice change from other books on the market. Please be warned though that there is a two page spread in which Noel has painted over some extremely graphic pornography which is still clearly visible so not for readers of a sensitive nature.

A beautifully crafted book of a look into Noel Fielding's world. There are drawings, paintings, pictures, hand-written stories, a QR code, & much more! Reading the bit of biography scattered throughout the book was also a pleasure. Buy not if you are expecting a Booshly homage; buy if you are interested in engaging with a surreal, technicolour, intimate journey through all facets of Noel Fielding's mind and life. Buy the book, make some tea, and engage!

What can I say, this comedian/actor seizes to amaze his loyal fans by making a book which covers his unique style of artistic talent, by painting random characters that comes to mind and from past stand-up shows. A man who seems to be on a mission to encourage people who have the passion for art and for anyone to draw what they like whether its fine drawing or scribbles. So, after purchasing this book through Pre-order, I now believe this man is a genius when it comes to fun, because his paintings combines art with comedy, which contrasts with his occupation as a comedian and as an artist. A magical book which will enthuse young and old and make anyone feel like a child at heart. Thank You Noel for bringing imagination to the world.

I've treated me & my boyfriend to one of these each, both being fans of Mr Fielding & his mysterious ways :)
The man has an amazing imagination & short of being able to climb inside his head this is about as close as you can get without causing him any physical injury or getting a restraining order! ;)
Brilliant bit of escapism through Noel's words & artwork. I'm loving my copy. My boyfriend gets his copy at Christmas & I can't wait to see his face when he reads it :)

I felt like Alice in Wonderland, diving headfirst into a book full of colour and beautifully bizarre words. I felt like I'd been gobbled by the book and taken to a different papery world where creativity was infinite! Some anecdotes seem autobiographical, others just plain jive, some paintings distinguishable and others a tiny bit baffling. The art is fantastic and any Boosh fans will be interested to see ideas that will have been planted into the Boosh series.
If you're not a straight laced logical type, this book will have you giggling and caught in a fantastic web of Fieldingness.

Only a 4 star and not five because I found the writing very funny - completely off the wall without seeming too silly. It's a shame that there wasn't much writing and largely artwork. I would say it's for people who have seen Fielding's work.
