Fine wines are made to sip, not drip. This simple but elegant drip ring in premium metal finish is uniquely designed to prevent spills and wine stained tablecloths and is sized to fit any wine bottle. The black felt lining captures spills after pouring, protecting linen and other surfaces from stains.

Presented in an attractive black gift box this makes a perfect gift and comes with a 10-Year Guarantee.

How to Use

Place the Screwpull Drip Ring on the bottle to prevent drips down the side of the bottle.

About Screwpull

Oilman Herbert Allen, a prolific inventor, developed the Screwpull corkscrew. Born in Texas, to poor parents, he made his mark (and fortune) inventing tools for the oil industry and parts for jet engines. In 1951 he travelled to Europe where he tasted wine for the first time. One taste quickly turned into a passion and over the next 20 years, Herbet Allen assembled one of the best wine cellars in Texas.

His work on Screwpull began in 1975. The impetus for the invention came from Mr Allen’s wife who had a particularly frustrating experience opening a bottle of wine. After trying a number of different corkscrews, all unsuccessfully, she gave up and presented her husband with the engineering challenge of a lifetime: to produce a corkscrew that would extract the cork effortlessly and perfectly every time.

In 1979 the Screwpull Table Model was born. It was based on the simple premise that a cork could be removed from the bottle without force, injury or embarrassment, and was an instant hit. Here was a beautifully designed corkscrew that fitted over a bottle’s neck. The Teflon coated screw was easily driven into and through the cork, thus ensuring the cork is removed intact without pulling.

Since 1979, wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts around the world have enjoyed the unrivalled performance, superb quality and outstanding design pf Screwpull corkscrews and wine accessories. Screwpull is well known for its famous corkscrews such as the Table Model and the much coveted Lever Model. The self-pulling principle of the design means that only the minimum of effort is required to remove the cork from the bottle. The range of ingenious corkscrews is complemented by a selection of innovative and stylish wine accessories. From opening a bottle, to serving drinks, to preserving wine, Screwpull products make every moment of the wine drinking experience a pleasure.

Today the Screwpull brand name is recognised world wide for its efficiency and unique designs, with products being sold in nearly every industrialised nation. Many new products have been developed since the introduction of the Table Model all following the tradition of simplicity, style and performance. The range has earned a reputation with discerning consumers and wine connoisseurs alike as probably the best and most innovative wine accessories in the world.

When we got ours, we tried it on the necks of every wine bottle in the house - about 20. It slipped onto the necks of most bottles quite nicely, but was too small for two of them. That means it didn't fit 10% of the bottles in our little and unscientific test.

That aside, it does work as described. Just push it onto the bottle neck, and it soaks up the drips. Just remember not to throw it out with the empty bottle!

Well, it does what you expect, it's anti-dripping... but the diameter is a little bit narrow, for some bottles it is difficult to get it fixed. Inside it is a kind of textile linig that i am not sure if it is easy to be cleaned up. The paper box presentation is poor. I bought it for myself so no problem but if you want to buy it as a gift, it may not be the best choice...

This item is a very acceptable small gift. The packaging gives the appearance of something far more expensive than it really is. I purchased one locally, which meant a bus journey, but I needed another in a hurry and Amazon proved the answer. The ring really does prevent the inevitable red drops on a table cloth, although I still find myself checking where a drip should be; then I remember it doesn't happen any more.

I am very pleased with the drip ring. It sits neatly on the bottle and stops the wine dripping. It does the job, looks good and costs little. What more would you want? I am thinking of getting few more for myself and my friends...

It works when it fits on a bottle but more often than not it's too small.I have found that it fits on less than 50% of bottles so far.
