To celebrate the start of summer, handsome 17-year-old Miku throws a wild party at his parent s house, which turns destructive quickly. As punishment, Miku is forced to spend the rest of his summer with his family at their secluded country cottage. There, Miku meets the confident, magnetic Elias. The two spend their summer inseparable, discovering themselves, their sexuality and each other. But with an intense holiday romance comes the inevitable spectre of separation, and, as the summer comes to a close, the boys will have to face the realities of potential heartbreak head on.
Equal part erotic summer romance and moving portrait of teen angst, Screwed is both stirring and affecting.

After the excesses of God's Own Country (one of the best, and one of my most favourite films ever) and the disappointment of Call Me by Your Name (highly overrated and far too long) comes this slight Finnish gay drama. I did like the film. I just didn't love it. The two leads are strikingly handsome. And quite convincing in the bedroom (but you straighties out there needn't worry, there's precious little naked gay sex). There's a brief shot of male rear nudity and some passionate kissing but no lingering pelvic thrusting. The ending is hopeful. And it made a change from the usual doom, gloom and savage homophobic murder of recent films if this type. Overall not a film I'd recommend. But it is watchable. Just a technical note: the back cover of the DVD states a 100 minutes running time. It's more like 96 minutes. The main film soundtrack is in Finnish but there are English subtitles. Not the worst gay film I've seen. But not the best.

Chaotic start of the movie and it seems all Finlanders have mental or addicted problems. Some scenes could have been hilarious, but because of the terrible filming/editing they were rather stupid! A terrible tattoed father! Iit's al long time I bought a terrible bad film on dvd. Lots of regrets, could have used my money for better!
