As an idea with these oats try mixing up the night before and then microwaving as per the packet guidelines, I find this brings out even more flavour.
This particular brand has larger flakes than usual, which produces a better taste.
Another thing I like about these is that you don't get any oats "dust" on the outside of the boxes. I used to buy oats with supermarket brands which come into plastic bags. From some point onwards all those bags started having perforations so there is always some dust seeping outside (messy!) and God knows what might go inside the bags as they are transferred from the place of production to the selling points. It was at that point that I switched to Scotts oats and I have not regretted the decision although they are a bit more expensive than supermarket brands.
amazon sell them at a much lower price than any non online shop I've seen and if you consume them a lot then it's convenient buying 12 boxes in one go assuming you have a place to store them. My only concern when ordering online was the best before date. Not that these will go bad but the best before date exists for a purpose. I'm happy to report that I have now purchased them from amazon many times and on each occasion the best before date was at least 6 months into the future so no problems there. I chose economy delivery and you get a tracking number.Read more ›
