Product description

Product Description

The third live-action film based on the classic kids cartoon series. This feature tells the story of how Daphne (Kate Melton), Velma (Hayley Kiyoko), Fred (Robbie Amell), Shaggy (Nick Palatas) and a puppy called Scooby-Doo (Frank Welker) first met and became friends while attending Coolsville High. When ghosts start appearing, the gang get suspended from school after being falsely accused of playing spooky practical jokes. In an effort to prove their innocence, they set out to get to the bottom of the supernatural mystery.

Synopsis

What brings best friends together? For Daphne, Velma, Fred, Shaggy and Shaggy’s spunky pup Scooby-Doo, it’s a mystery! The feature-length live-action Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins original movie takes you back to when four teenage sleuths (plus one dog detective) first met. Unjustly accused of staging a spooky practical joke complete with ghosts, the kids are suspended from Coolsville High. To clear their names, they team to solve the supernatural mystery…and head straight into nonstop laughs and adventure. Special fun, special friends and extra-special effects make this “how-it-all-began” story – from boy-meets-dog to the first trip in the Mystery Machine and more – a doggone great time!

bought this movie expecting nothing special, particularly because Sarah Michelle Gellar wasn't in it. However I watched it and I really enjoyed it; its not exactly cinema material but its a really good movie. Although the scenes towards the end may be a little scary for younger viewers, apart from that all Scooby fans should definatley give this a watch!!

Overall it isn't a bad movie, being a fan of the show growing up I was curious to see the third live action film in the series. I think the gang are well cast, Shaggy is played the best and most like the cartoon character. Scooby is also well voiced by its a shame that the CGI for everyone favourite mutt isn't as good as the other films....I put this down to budget costs. I absolutely loved the homage to the series I grew up watching (whats up Scooby doo) which is at the end of the movie. Overall I would say it is a very good origins story.

One word. Rubbish! This low budget film is trash! Velma is Chinese/Japanese which is wrong, Scooby Doo can say almost anything and Daphne is wrongly cast as is Fred. Shaggy is only the good character in the film. If you want a good Scooby Doo buy the two movies with Sarah Michelle Gellar in.
