Cripes! Scooby and the gang are back for another feature-length adventure. This time the gang are on holiday at Blake Castle, Daphne's Scottish ancestral home, helping her family host a Highland games event. But when something gigantic - and very, very scary - appears outside the castle window, mystery and mayhem begin as Scooby Doo and crew try to solve one of history's longest-running mysteries, the myth of the Loch Ness Monster.
Woohoo!!! Hanna Barbera has captured the fun and magic of Scooby Doo that we big kids fell in love with years ago. A good storyline with fun characters that will be enjoyed by young and old fans. It is set in Scotland in a castle on Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Monster is threatening to ruin the Scottish Games Tournament and a full scale hunt starts to prove the existance of the legendary sea beast. Scooby and the gang have to solve the mystery and save both the games and the monster. I was a bit worried about this one, living in Scotland I thought bad accents and terrible stereotypes would ruin this for me but actually it wasn't too bad. Yes, the accents are poor but acceptable considering they have to be understood by children everywhere. Voice actors include regulars Frank Welker, Casey Kasem, Mindy Cohn and Grey Delisle.
My four year old really likes this dvd. He has watched it many times. He also took it into nursery when they were doing a Scottish Theme. It was a big hit with all the boys at Nursery. I think some of the girls got a bit bored with it. I recommend it for all Scooby fans.
