This was a present for my 6 1/2 year old son for Christmas, it is a really good idea, the design is good and it is fairly robust, our first attempt flew off the table onto the floor and it came out relatively unscathed.

My son loved it, especially that he could decorate it. Definately needs adult assistance a couple of bits are quite fiddly.

All in all a good stocking filler, that kept us busy for a couple of hours over the Christmas holidays.

My husband attempted to put this together for our grandchildren but it was an absolute disaster. The product is flimsy and the double sided tape included in the kit could not be removed from the backing paper so we tried our own double sided tape but this would not hold it together either. With a lot of patience we finally got it to hold together and tried to use it. The wheels immediately fell off.
The product is useless and we think the Science Museum name is just a product name and nothing to do with the Science Museum. It is a false marketing ploy to give the impression that it is made by the Science Museum.
I bought it at the end of Oct as a Christmas present and will be returning as it is not fit for purpose even if the extended 30 day return policy has run out. I will keep other potential purchasers informed as to my progress.

This looked like a great present but I'm afraid it really wasn't. It's incredibly fiddly to put together and the wheels kept falling off. When we finally managed to get them to stick to the racer, they were slightly bent so the racer couldn't actually roll along the floor. It's not very durable. Very disappointing. (Also: it doesn't look anything like the racer on the box. The car is made of the kind of plastic that requires several layers of paint to cover up - and drying time in between). My son had far more fun blowing up balloons and letting them fly round the room. Save your money and buy a packet of balloons!

My grandaughter loves this. She is 6 and tells me it was tricky to put together even with Daddy helping but once it was done they had great fun with it.They need to run it in the garden as it did not move on the carpet. Good buy but only if an adult helps to build it.

Bought this for Professor Nutt who cured my ADHD at the age of 32. It's science and a toy. He, being a neurologist is science, and everyone loves toys. I'm hoping he'll race them with the serious junior doctor. Great product, quick deliverly, would recommend product and purchase from seller again.

cheap plastic with some sticky back plastic. Once put together it falls apart after a couple of runs. You ask your eight year old if he would like you to fix it and he goes "nah". Sums it up really. Waste of money

This was disappointing. The car itself was too flimsy and the double sided strips were not strong enough to hold the structure together. This made it impossible to achieve the picture on the box and the children soon tired of it as it kept falling apart. The most fun was had in painting the car.
