I bought this tyre brand to cut down on the number of punctures. So far I haven't had a puncture, so that's great. I'll judge it after another 1000 miles on that score. It's a difficult tyre to put on (the wired version) and it wrecked my tyre levers, so I had to buy some steel ones. The penalty is the extra weight and quite high rolling resistance. They definitely slow you down and make you work harder. For regular use they are OK but on the longest rides maybe lighter and faster tyres are a better option.
