I received the Scholl Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover from Amazon Vine for review and was very impressed.

I think my review may be of use here is a link.
Scholl Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover

I would not buy spares however until you are sure that the machine is the one for you.
If it is than you need to buy these rollers?

But to ensure you get maximum use out of them here are a few tips from an old pro.

1. To get the best results you should wash your feet well first- this gets rid of a lot of stuff and lets the dog see the rabbit so to speak.
In other words soap and water are a heck of a lot cheaper than the roller replacements.
If you can get rid of a whole lot of hard skin easily before this means you are not wasting the rollers life and in a way your own by time.
Make sure you really dry the feet before using the rollers

2. Don't press too hard- this only slows the rollers and makes the motor groan like a 'past its sell by date Zeppelin'. Apply gentle and I do mean gentle pressure ensures the roller really smooths the hard skin.
Let the machine do the work for you.
It's just like going for a professional manicure. You don't file your nails down you let her do her job. Likewise you let the machine do its job.

4. A warning- there's dust! A fine cloud of...... well let's face it.. it is `you', your dust that is given off so make sure you do it somewhere where bits of you won't clog up stuff? Over the bath/toilet/bidet seems fine.

5. It says you can clean the rollers and machine with water under the tap.
I think an old toothbrush ensures a good clean and makes the rollers last longer.

6. Again
Don't waste money by buying a replacement set of rollers until you have actually tried the machine.

I've submitted this to Scholl as a potential fake. Unbalanced rollers, spelling mistakes on the pack, poor manufacture and packing. I'm attaching photos. I have not had the reply from Scholl yet.

These additional Extra Coarse Hard Skin Remover rollers, by Scholl are very easy to fit into the standard blue Scholl velvet pedi device. Once placed in situ, I began my little mini pedicure. At first the process was a little unpleasant, as cloud of dead skin rose into the air the second that I started using it, so you are best of using it in a bathroom or another area that will be easy to clean afterwards. The process itself is actually very gentle and I did not feel any burning sensation or soreness afterwards. After using this device it best to moisturise your feet with a good cream,.

The rollers, themselves are effective in that they followed the contours of my feet to reach all areas that needed to be covered. The results came within minutes, as my hard skin was pretty much eliminated - not just smoothed over, but also completely removed on first application, which was rather impressive. The rollers seem to be made out of a material similar to “pumice stone”, so these rollers are going to last for a good while. At the time writing this review there seem to be a number of “offers” out there, so it may be best to shop around.

The Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond Pedi Extra Coarse Hard Skin Remover Refill - Pack of 2 is a good price for such an effective roller.
BUT if you have bought the Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond (*) Pedi Extra Coarse Power Hard Skin Remover you just may not need this hard grade of coarseness if the machines 2 rollers have done all the hard work and got the skin on your feet to a reasonable smoothness.
Perhaps a less coarse grade may be preferable?
Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond Pedi Extra Coarse Power Hard Skin Remover

If not then these are the refills for you.

That's all you need to read but if you would like some tips from a seasoned pro read on.

Over the years I've bought and reviewed hard skin removers and I've received a few of these devices to test and review from Amazon. So I have a little experience of the benefits of these machines.

3. Apply gentle and I do mean gentle pressure ensures the roller really smoothes the hard skin.
Let the machine do the work for you.
It's just like going for a professional manicure.

These refills will fit either the Scholl Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover or the Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond Pedi Extra Coarse Power Hard Skin Remover. They are fairly easy to fit (although be careful not to scrape your fingers!) and you can swap between these ones and the standard refills for different effects or for different skin thicknesses. These ones are great for really hard, tough, stubborn skin and they remove it very easily. They are not so good for delicate skin, so you will probably want to finish off with one of the standard refills.

They aren't cheap, but they last for a good few uses (depending how thick your skin is!) and when you compare them to the cost of a professional pedicure it's easy to see what's best value - and the results are actually better than those I've had in the salon. You can get cheaper refills, but I prefer to use the branded ones as you can be sure of the quality.
