A detailed account of the Schlumpf bothers' Bugatti collecting mania and essential reading for those intending to visit the Musee National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse housing the Schlumpf brother's former collection. Many older photos of many Bugattis etc. The brothers started post-war when nobody paid any attention to old Bugatti bangers. Soon they'd bought and hoarded a huge number of unique vehicles. Their obsession bankrupted their textile mill business and as payment of tax-arrears they had to hand over their entire collection to the French nation - to our benefit. Dennis Jenkinson was a motoring journalist and famously co-drove Stirling Moss and won the 1955 Mille Miglia in Mercedes No. 722.

My husband owned this book many years ago after visiting the exhibition but lent it to a friend who later died and didn't have the book returned. I bought the book as a Christmas present and he was delighted!
