I really wasn't expecting too much after playing the first SceneIt? game but bought it anyway because my partner loves it. I was very wrong to judge this prematurely as it is leaps and bounds ahead of the previous installment. Very impressive lineup and the game types are highly imaginative. I will be keeping this one on my shelf with all my other favourite games.

A great game for the family. The only downfall is that if you have a nice lead it decides to try and equal the points by giving the laggers stupid bonus points,i.e 2000 points for getting no questions right??? Very annoying but all in all very enjoyable game.

The controller bundle is a great deal at times, because it comes with 4 high quality controllers, batteries and all that stuff. If only the game was as good. Being a game for a casual audience it doesn't reward knowledge nearly as much as guessing/answering incorrectly/buzzing in quickly. Answering 3 question in a row correctly only gives you 1250 points, the quickest buzz in time and answering most question incorrectly both give you 2000 points. Way to reward actually knowing stuff. This keeps the game pretty even until the final round which has multipliers so you can get multipliers like 2-5-10 if you answers questions correctly in a row. Nothing like leading for 3 rounds (15-20 minutes) only to loose a game to 3 lucky guesses.

The game starts repeating video clips after about 2 hours of gaming (5-6 short rounds) and you CAN'T disable any content in custom game. What's the point of having a custom game option if you can't actually customize anything useful? You can't skip video clips either so you have to watch them over and over again. I don't want to memorize all the actors clothes for a second time when guessing works just as good.

In short:
The game itself is unrewarding, but you get a lot for your money and the game has no competition on the 360.

Unfortunately I am having to return this item as it is in French with no option to change the language even though all the packaging is in English. I understand this is a Microsoft fault and I have no reason to believe the seller was aware of if but I just wanted to warn any other potential buyers of this issue. I was not given the option to contact the seller directly anywhere so he/she has not had the chance to respond to this complaint directly.

This game is a bit of fun for a short ammount of time. However, having played the long game a number of times over the last few weeks, questions repeat themselves more often than not. This became very annoying after around 2 games where most of the questions in the same type of round were repeated.
Also, considering this is suppose to be 'box office smash', one would think that more popular, new, big box office films would be included. It would seem that there are only around 5 different movie clips (most involving Steve Martin), none of which are new or would be considered 'box office smash'ers.
Also, anything involving any of the rounds which are not simply written questions are seemingly always repeated. There doesnt seem to be any way of stopping this or customising which rounds or what sort of questions will be asked.
Playing this game with friends is fun for a round or 2, but it does suck the joy out of playing a trivia game which seems to have drawn all its questions from one A4 page's worth of them. The Empire quizes are more challenging and more fun. So very disappointing over all.

Wireless controllers are proper "Xbox quality" and add extra dimension of fun where there are plenty of opportunities to buzz in before the other teams - the main buzzer is easily big enough to share so you can have 2-3 in one team

The graphics/characters are great fun too - everybody in my house commented

The questions were quite hard but they were hard for everyone which was great, none of the questions were repeated (played it all Christmas Day), there were a good variety of 'rounds', the movie clips were very long/good with some observation questions which were great

All round good fun for all the family and worth every penny

Wish there were more games like this available for Xbox and wishfully looking forward to Scene-It expansions packs (I have controllers now)

The family asked me to bring it round to theirs on New Years eve - How about that for a recommendation?

I tried this games predecessor at a friends house and quite enjoyed it so had been on the look out for this at a reasonable price for ages. The Game is great for people who enjoy movies and party games. There are a good number of game types and after playing for more than 4 hours I haven't seen a question repeated (there have been lots of Steve Martin questions though). I think of myself as a movie buff and have been quite challenged at points in the game, my girlfriend on the other hand is not a movie buff and still quite enjoys the game as some of the mini games do not require movie knowledge as they are like pictionary and scharades(sp?).

Overall this is a thoroughly enjoyable game especially with friends and is particularly good for movie buffs who fancy themselves as budding Empire editors...
