About the Author
I grew up in England and immigrated to Canada by ship in 1970. It took six days and we arrived in Montreal on a foggy, September morning after a rough trans-Atlantic crossing. After the birth of my second daughter, my then husband was offered a job in the United States and we moved to Connecticut where I have lived ever since. A long time ago when I was between jobs, I started to write a novel. The years went by and the novel lay idle—my characters stuck in time—until September 2012 when I finally found time to finish EACH TIME WE SAY GOODBYE. I love to write and find the whole process absolutely fascinating. I have no plot line and the story just develops as I sit at my laptop and find myself laughing and crying along with my characters. I never know until I start to write exactly what my characters are going to be doing next. How their lives evolve, never fails to amaze me. I try and write every day for at least a couple of hours. I have been retired since 2009 and writing has become my obsession. I do believe stories connect humanity and this inspires me to create my novels, together with all the support and encouragement I receive from friends and family. All the hours I spend are made worthwhile every time I hear—"I thoroughly enjoyed EACH TIME WE SAY GOODBYE and can't wait for the next one." A SCARY KIND OF HONESTY is the second in the trilogy and continues the saga of the Chamberlin family. Now I just have to knuckle down and finish the third book because I can't wait to see what happens! Please feel free to contact me at StoriesConnectHumanity@comcast.net.
