Product Description

When a spate of unusual killings begin to terrorise the city, police detective Lou Capell and his old partner Ted Lonergan begin investigating, but are puzzled by the strange web-like substance discovered near the crime scenes. The true extent of the danger is only revealed to them when they meet beautiful scientist Sherry Carpenter, who tells them of the terrifying consequences of a secret research project which aimed to create the perfect soldier. With time running out, this unlikely trio must now do everything they can to stop the killer before it claims any more lives.

I bought 3 of these DVD's in the course of 3 years just hoping it was a bad batch of DVD's WRONG.
This movie is so fun and cool but the company that released it Pegasus confirmed that they use a cheap DVD making process. They admitted that most of their DVD's don't even work.
Hopefully a real company will release it.

This is not such a bad movie really, it has a good story about the police trying to track a killer, not realising they are up against something more sinister, a synthetic new life form created in a lab that roams the sewers, im basing my review on the UK DVD version which has no blood or gore, mostly slime, the creature effects are pretty cool and its kept in the dark most of the time anyway, its an ok horror if you like watching old cheesy 80's movies, picture quality is VHS but it adds to the charm, tame on the gore but has thrills and chills instead, worth picking up cheap! I paid £4 so it wasn't such a loss! No features. REGION FREE DISC!

This has to be one of the worst films I have seen in ages. Not just because of it's content, but because of the quality of the DVD, which is very very bad. The picture is so dark and grainy, it looks as though the transfer was taken from an old VHS copy. As for the actual film, it's just a pale imitation of alien, with some lame excuse for a plot. It seems as though they spent so much money on the alien costume, that they didn't have much left for the rest of the movie. After about 45 minutes (how I lasted that long I dunno) I pressed FF just to see the end. It wasn't worth it.

This is to be avoided at all costs!! Lame acting, lame direction, lame script. To think that people actually criticized John Carpenter's films back in the early '80s. At least they are still watchable today. This film shows what a genius Carpenter is.

I'd like to give it zero stars, but that ain't possible.
