Well I've found out that that won't happen because I'm human and I will continue to sin, fail, feel guilty and so on and so on, round in circles unless I let God do something about it!
Nothing new there you might think, but this is where the advice in the book kicks in, it doesn't matter what we think it is all about what God thinks, if we are born again, we had better spend our time dealing with these things and get on glorifying God and enjoying him forever, because that is what matters.
The book explains it's not "easy believism" or "sack cloth and ashes" it is taking God at his word.
I would have given 5 stars but then again only God is perfect.
So, 'there's nothing new under the sun?' maybe so, but there is more than one way to look at life and Steve Brown helps take the lid of the traditional view held and accepted by most.
Take the blinkers off and get real. Steve has done a real service to Church inc.

An understanding of the Gospel as Steve Brown presents it, is firmly founded in Scripture. This book, if we will allow it, will reorganize our thought processes and change our paradigm... a good thing actually. For those Christians wishing, "There's got to be more to Christianity than what I'm experiencing", this is one of the few books (other than the Bible) to read.
It's all about Jesus, His Cross, what He did, and His love for us...
That's what I used to think before I read this book.
Dr. Brown is one of the few authors who can express the Gospel with the joy and levity that the message claims to bring, and I believe this makes all the difference.
I first heard Steve Brown speak in 2005 when I was a member of Perimeter Church in Atlanta. He frequently served as guest speaker on Sunday mornings, and I liked his tone. At the time, this book had just been released, so I picked up a copy. I found it irritating that my copy of the book was printed with some of the pages off-center. I read the book, but most of it was lost on me.
Fast-forward to 2011. I'm married and living in Houston. I'm having anxiety attacks. Every time my conscience is pricked, I obsess over it to no end. I found this book in a box, so I read it again. It sunk in. Bit by bit, the anxiety started to subside. I started having more fun. I learned to be more thankful for the cross. I learned what Jesus meant when he said, "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light". I will never go back. This book will become a yearly read for me, I believe.
See, Dr. Brown was the first writer I've read who explained something unbelievably wonderful as though it makes him happy. Up until that point, I would hear the Gospel preached, but the preacher always seemed mad. I needed to hear someone rejoice in something they were telling me to rejoice in. Dr. Brown does just that in this book. Readers of this book will find in these pages the most freeing and joyful message ever heard. They will find a message worthy of being called "good news". They will find the Gospel, and they will taste that it is good.
A brief note, though. This book isn't for everyone, so think carefully before you purchase it.
You should only buy this book if:
1. You're human.
2. You're sinful.
If you don't fall into those categories. Steer clear. The book isn't for you.
