Julia used Aidan to help her escape an unhappy circumstance which leaves them ruined in the eyes of society. Some months later they are both trying to rebuild their lives but end up doing this at the same time which leads them to meet each other and the passion is still there. It seems Aidan can't forget and soon realises he needs to get her out of his system but is she as willing. And why was she is intent on using him.

As you start to read it you try to find out why Julia did what she did and as you progress through the book the reasons come out slowly and you really start to feel for the woman. She did it to survive and have a life away from the confines of marriage. But Aidan has the way of getting to her and you fall in love with his strong sense of right character and wish for them to make it.

Lovely love story with a way of grabbing your attention and make you read it without putting it down once.

I loved this book. The heroine was kicking against the traces of Victorian England and then found herself married to someone dreadful. As a result she behaved really badly and felt herself unloveable. But the hero persisted and the ending was very happy. Written with a sense of humour and a light touch considering the seriousness of the subject at times

I never wrote a review before but after reading this book and been deeply disappointed. I wish to advise readers that this is a two-dimensional book.

I bought this book with the "wedding of the season" and found both books difficult to read as they were so badly written.

the storyline itself was good but that were my liking stop. it was difficult for me to get interested into the story as it was so dull.

Julia is a woman who went through a lot and is fighting to learn to love and trust again. But it is so badly written than it feel like even the author got bored at the end and couldn't bother to end it properly. Such a shame.

I would only recommend this book to a 15 years old reader who went to read a longer story than a Mills & Boons book. But if you do not enjoy Mills & Boons anymore, please do not bother.

This review is nothing against the author as my comment only apply to this book and "wedding of the season".
