The unit counts down the number of laps remaining in your race, from sprint challenges to endurance racing (up to a maximum 999 laps). With a built in start sequence and false start penalties racing is more realistic than ever before. The Digital Lap Counter displays the laps remaining along with the number of the race leader. At the end of the race, the unit displays the finishing order. Powered by the track so no batteries are required. Suitable for use with 4-car and 6-car Digital Powerbases. Suitable for use with C7071 DIGITAL PIT LANE GAME.

This is a must for all digital scalextric owners. It is easy to set up and it appears to perform flawlessly.
We are all very competitive and argue about almost everything, but no one can claim more laps than they have actually done with this little device. It's as essential as having a car, don't think about scalextric unless you have one of these.

This is great - the expense is because it has quite a lot to do (keeps count of all the cars, gives a countdown to start)). It also comes with an extra piece of track to balance it out on the circuit ,which is thoughtful. Only improvement would be to have one that can time the cars too so you can improve your own times.

The product is easy to use and makes the Scalextric a much better toy to use. The Lapcounter was easy to install and use.

Recommend it is purchased where the Scalextric does not include either the Lapcounter of the Pit Lane Game.

I suggest Scalextric should consider including the Lapcounter as part of the Games which could make use of it.
