Review

Readers who need more of Kenner s racy, sizzling Stark novels will delight in this new series, set in the same decadent, lavish world. . . . Kenner has crafted a hero whose compassion is remarkable, and who is strong enough not only to apologize and to change, but to offer her the kind of love she wants and needs, as well. . . . Fans of dark, intense and emotionally scorching romances will surely adore this series opener. "RT Book Reviews"

It s a heady mix of love and intrigue, and Kenner continues to deliver a knockout experience that made me long for the next book even as I was more than satisfied with this story s ending. To say more would give too much away, and I encourage everyone who loved the original Stark trilogy to read "Say My Name" to find out what s there for themselves. The Romance Evangelist
J. Kenner has given us one hell of a story with this start to the Stark International series. And if anyone can give Damien Stark a run for his money, it s Jackson Steele. Cocktails and Books
If you enjoyed the Stark novels, you are going to love "Say My Name"! Reading Keeps Me Sane
J. Kenner s best work to date. . . . The pull between these two is off the charts. They have this intense chemistry that pretty much makes their sexy times go through the roof! . . . It was great getting to see Nikki and Damien again. . . . Even though I know them from their series, they seem fresh. . . . J. Kenner knocked it out of the park with this one. Five-off-the-charts-hot-stars! About That Story
J. Kenner never fails to provide a gripping and passionate story. "Say My Name" takes you to the edge and then pushes you over. Not that I was expecting anything less, but Jackson Steele is the perfect addition to the Stark series. . . . I cannot wait to see what unfolds next. . . . More Jackson! "More please." Obsessed with Myshelf
J. Kenner has once again given us a serial that is packed with steam, drama, and suspense that will keep us readers guessing and reading on. "Say My Name" is a wonderful beginning of a love story that is as complicated as the main characters. It is a great introduction to two characters who will no doubt capture the hearts of readers with their overpowering love for each other despite what seems like unbeatable odds. Sultry, Steamy Reading
Your jaw will drop, your thighs will clench. . . . This book was angst. Pure and complete angst. It took my breath. . . . You have no idea what to expect from page to page and I loved that. J. Kenner does such an amazing job with this book, I couldn t put it down and honestly, I didn t want to. It. Was. That. Good. The Boyfriend Bookmark"

4.5 stars--SAY MY NAME is the first installment in J. Kenner’s adult contemporary Stark International Series focusing on billionaire architect Jackson Steele, and professional assistant Sylvia Brooks. Stark International Trilogy is a cross over series from Kenner’s original Stark series. Sylvia Brooks is Damien Stark’s PA; we were first introduced to Jackson Steele in the Stark Trilogy novella-PLAY MY GAME. You will not have to have read the original Stark series to understand or follow the Stark International trilogy. Many of the characters including Damien and Nikki Stark cross over between the series, but any important information from the Stark series is revealed where necessary.

Told from Sylvia’s first person point of view, the storyline trope follows a second chance at love for two people, who five years earlier, spent two glorious nights together before nightmares from the past forced Sylvia to push Jackson away. Jackson has never forgotten or forgiven Sylvia for the humiliation and pain she caused his fragile male ego, and now that he and Sylvia would be working together with Damien Stark, Jackson is bent on revenge, retribution and payback. What begins as Jackson attempts at avenging Sylvia’s blatant dismissal of their connection, spirals out of control when Sylvia finally acknowledges the truth about what happened five years before.

The connection between our couple has already been established. Their attraction to one another has never waivered and working together on Damien Stark’s latest project will place our couple in constant contact. Stark International has contracted to develop a resort on Cortez Island but the architect and investor is MIA.

Say My Name, A Stark Novel, J. Kenner
Genre:  Erotica.
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
I loved the Stark Trilogy and J Kenner’s writing style so was really keen to read the opener to the new series. I wasn’t disappointed – its got the same Must Keep Reading feel to it, one of those where you just have to know what happens nest, can’t put it down just yet even though the oven is beeping and everyone is starving....
Maybe I’ve read so many of this type of story ( and not all good sadly, there’s hundreds out, probably thousands, and yet few are real 5* authors like this) but I am beginning to be able to pick up story seeds, the bits which seem a throwaway comment, and yet are the start of some major surprise. I’ve got two I found in this part, one is already revealed and I felt quite victorious when I found I’d got it right – too often I’m way off the mark  The second – well, maybe its going to come out in the next book or maybe hold out for book three, but I think there’s someone who’s going to prove closer than currently suggested. Another of those lies by omission. It hasn’t been said who this person is yet, but it’s indicated that its no-one special and yet I think...just think...I might have seen something that suggests they are more. And if I’m right its going to have a huge impact on the story. Massive.
Poor Sylvia, she’s worked so hard to get where she is, overcome so much, and then has to face her nemesis to save her current biggest project yet for Damien Stark. Its not easy and I was with her when she went through the embarrassment, the trauma and giving herself mental talkings and encouragement.
Jackson, he certainly made her pay at first, and then when he found out more he was gutted...

*Gifted from Netgalley for an honest review – 4 stars
Confession – I have never read J Kenner before although I’ve seen her books all on various platforms. Deary me, I now know what I was missing and not that this author is on my radar I’ll definitely be looking to read more. This is my kind of book when I want a no messing, straight talking kind of story with in depth characters and a meaty plot. Obviously I have no prior knowledge of Stark Industries so don’t know the history but I don’t think it really mattered. I had that urge to keep reading and didn’t really want to put this book down, when that happens I begin to take note of all the other things going on and ask myself why I have the impulsion to continue until it’s finished. Whilst it was really good I didn’t find it to be a 5 star read for me, it lacked that all-consuming emotional connection I need.
The plot itself is rather good. Sylvia and Jackson had previously had a brief affair which tilted both in such a profound way that Sylvia found herself telling Jackson to walk away. Despite her feelings. Now years later and she needs him for a project and their worlds collide in quite spectacular fashion. The passion that jumps off the page is most certainly not dead. J Kenner captured that really, really well. The reader doesn’t get bogged down with endless scenes of sex but instead she builds the scenes, drops them and builds them back up again. Very clever writing. Quite descriptive too but not in a boring, need to skip kind of way. I found the story extremely engrossing.
Damien Stark plays a huge role in this book albeit in the background. There are secrets and lies galore in this first instalment, some are uncovered yet others leave you hanging.
