The album will be released early in 2014 through Columbia Records. The band spent their childhood between the sunny shores of Sydney, Australia and the long, cold winters of Stockholm, Sweden. The contrast between places cut a striking infusion into their sounds and influences as a band.

After releasing the quietly devastating tracks "Maybe You" and “Julian” the deliciously melancholic Say Lou Lou will release their debut single on Columbia Records, ‘Better In The Dark’, on 16th December. ‘Better in the Dark’ comes as a double A-side accompanied with a stunning b-side ‘Beloved’.

Self created and self imagined, Say Lou Lou have come to worldwide attention since their formation just eighteen months ago with the two fantastic songs and their attendant B-sides. NME said of “Maybe You, ‘On their haunting first single Miranda and Elektra cut deep with a wounded despondent ballad that takes pop’s penchant for the superficial and drowns it in a sea of sorrows’ whilst The Sunday Times called them ‘a red hot tip’. Meanwhile internationally they have been causing waves across numerous publications and outlets and in the US have been shot by Interview Magazine and V Magazine so far. Released earlier this year as a b-side on the vinyl release to "Julian," another stunning track "Fool of Me" (recorded with Chet Faker) has been highlighted on Pitchfork, Idolator and MTV Buzzworthy as a potential breakout song for the duo.

The band’s ethereal pop music comes strongly supported with self-created imagery and so far two videos by director Philippe Tempelman which have already accrued almost one million views in the past months. Musically the band are inspired creatively by several mediums across art, style, poetry, fashion which are absorbed and visible throughout their dreamwave pop sound.
