Sawyer Brothers Series by CA Harms Ryan's Love and Jackson's Destiny

Ryan's Love 11-4-15

Ryan's Love is the first book in the Sawyer Brothers Series. It is the perfect book to hook you into reading the entire series. It is a standalone novel but the series involves recurring characters.

Amber and Ryan's story is "city girl and country boy fall in love" with a twist. They both know how different the two cultures are. They aren't clueless about how the other culture lives. They've just never experienced it firsthand. Too often in books the characters are woefully ignorant of how things are so different. Refreshing to see realistic portrayals.

I loved the relationship between Ryan and Olivia. They have such a close, loving relationship yet they still disagree. Life is confusing enough at Olivia's age without all the heartbreak and changes she is experiencing. I never felt as if she was selfish or spoiled concerning her reactions to Amber. I could feel her heart breaking and wanted to hold her in my arms and comfort her.

Ryan and Olivia were perfect for each other. She helped Ryan to become the happy, fun loving man he used to be. He helped Olivia realize what it meant to be truly loved. Together they became whole. They have chemistry and there are some sexy scenes!

I feel Ryan, Amber, and Olivia needed to be a little more developed. I did notice quite a few spelling (gripping was always spelled with one P-- which is an entirely different word) and grammar errors. Several times the wrong name was used.

Ryan's Love is highly entertaining. It really is an excellent book to start a series because it contains a cast of characters I want to meet again and again. Ones I want to get to know better. A family I would love to have in my life.

Jackson's Destiny 10-27-15

I really enjoyed Jackson's Destiny. The story is wholesome with a sexy edge to it. Jackson and Bailey complement one another and tend to bring out the best in each other. There is no baggage keeping them apart which was a nice change of pace. They have chemistry and are hot together. They deserved a HEA.

The entire Sawyer family is an integral part of the book. I loved the relationship between the brothers and between them and their mom. It felt so real. I could feel the love they had for each other. Olivia is a mess and should have her own story when she gets a little older.

Jackson and Bailey needed to be fleshed out more than they were. I didn't get a clear enough picture of their personalities. Just enough to keep me reading but not enough to leave me satisfied. I also found quite a few spelling and grammar errors.

Overall, this was a very good book. I highly recommend reading it. It is the first book I've read by C.A. Harms. I intend to read Book 1 of the Sawyer Brothers Series, Ryan's Love very soon. I will certainly be reading more books by this author. All books in the series are standalone stories.
