So pleased that we got more of Livia, Blake, Cole and Kyle and meeting the new bubbas. JB so cute! Kellan is such a sweetie, and Emme she made me chuckle a time or two! Ahh we then get to meet the twins, I had such a huge lump in my throat when we got to meet Teddy and Mouse; even though it was perhaps one of the most heartbreakingly, shockingly sad storylines I've read, and totally understand why it happened the way it did, you can't help wih it had been another way.
It was so sad about Eves father and even though it was Ryan, Eve's friend it must have been so hard for him to piece together the horrific situation and worked out what had happened.
There was a lot of sadness in this book, but it helped bring an absolutely wonderful trilogy to its rightful close.
The lead characters were the right combination of personalities to make this story work so well and the subsidiary characters made for a great but emotional suspense thrill of a read.
So thank you Debra!
I loved the original story and I loved this one just as much. Beckett Taylor is one sexy dude and my all time favourite BBF (book boyfriend). The story is fast paced with plenty of edge of the seat moments. If you haven't read this series I really recommend you do!
Following straight on from my read of the previous two books in the series - this was just an amazing finale. Be clear that you really must read them all and in order to get the full beauty of the trilogy - so if you are starting here, please think again.
To maintain such a high quality plot and cast of fabulous, and flawed characters is a testament to the skill of Ms Anastasia. She has definitely a place on my 'Not to be missed' authors. And I may well have to buy physical copies of these books, just in case we suffer a catastrophic failure of technology. I'm not sure I could cope with the level of intensity often, but these will definitely be reread.
I loved the first book and could have stopped there - with hope... I devoured the second and spent a lot of it on tenterhooks ... so this really had a lot of live up to ... and WOW it certainly did that. My mind is so full of it all that it is difficult to distill it into useful sentences! Just believe me when I promise you will not regret a minute of it. Your heart rate will speed up, for good and for not so good - but keep the faith, and, maybe read it somewhere private, so you can let your emotions out. Love, loyalty, family - who can aspire to more?
Thank you Ms Anastasia for making a very special contribution to the written word. I applaud your talent.

I'm a huge fan of Debra Anastasia and I love The Poughkeepsie series. I found that it evoked every emotion in my body.
Saving Poughkeepsie is the final book of the series and a grand finale it was. One of my fave book boyfriends Beckett Taylor ran the show and he didn't disappoint me. However I have to be totally honest and say the finale to the series slightly did. I still really liked it I just didn't absolutely love it. The reason being was the plot line. Personally I just thought it was too far fetched to believe.
But!! This is fiction and I had to look at it as an escape from reality. So I ploughed my way through it and enjoyed most of the ride.
The characters are as fabulous as ever and it was beautiful to see how they'd progressed and were living happy family lives. The bond between the brothers was as tight as ever but Beckett, Eve and Ryan were centre stage. The banter created by Debra between Beckett and Ryan was hilarious. Both men jealous of each other and hating each other's guts but deep down sharing a mutual respect for certain qualities they possessed. At the end of the day they both had the same goal which was to keep Eve safe.
There were many twists and turns, some dark and twisted moments (I loved those) and some very sad times. There was also some prize worthy Debra Anastasia style incredibly funny scenes. I adore the way Debra has the ability to make you laugh and cry in the same scene, her talent is second to none.
My predictions were right as to the ending and it was action packed and fast paced in the final third. I found myself smiling a lot and I was content enough when it ended. On the whole this series and characters will live with me as one of my all time loves and I recommend anyone to read it. I'm sad to see it end .
