Oh, David…. Dreamy sigh….

I guess I can’t just review David so I’d better start about the actual book!

The book starts with Lyric. Firstly, what an awesome name! She is running away from her troubled past in Manhattan – away from her sleazy ex and her controlling mother, to make a new life in Nashville. I love Lyric. She’s been through so much and is trying her very best to come out the other side. She’s cute, shy and at first a little timid. Sometimes I wanted to yell at her to believe in herself more – she’s so much stronger than she thinks she is. She also has a fantastic relationship with her friend Anna. Anna is hilarious – loud, opinionated and takes no crap from anyone. Their personalities go great together!

Enter David. You can tell he’s immediately drawn to Lyric, but after what she went through in Manhattan, Lyric and her inability to trust again isn’t ready to let someone new in. But David is persistent and adorable with it too. With a little encouragement from Anna and some flirty text messages from David, Lyric inevitably begins to melt. And how can she not? David is adorable. He’s no bad boy, no rocker, no multi-millionaire… but he doesn’t need to be. He’s just an all round nice guy. He treats Lyric with the care and respect she deserves, and when the time comes (you’ll have to read to find out!) he stands up for and protects her.

Just when you think these two are heading for the perfect happy ever after – BAM! Lyric accidently stumbles across a secret that if exposed, threatens to destroy their relationship. Until this point I really liked David’s best friend Jeremy, and sister SB… but once this secret was revealed, man I HATED them!

I first found out about this author when she collaborated with HMward, one of my favourite authors so I decided to read one of her books. I have enjoyed this story, There are some romantic parts and some funny parts! I'm not keen on how it ended as I wanted to know more but I'm not sure if their story follows on in the story of Jeremy and SB. There are some quite bad spelling errors but I manages to figure out what they meant. Overall I'm really glad I read it and I think David is pretty much perfect. I will be having a look at the other stories written by this same author.

Found out about Stacey Mostellers books via another author Holly Ward,
Lyric is running away from her past she has just found out her fiance was sleeping with someone else and her controlling mother who tells her that it is ok for him to do that {in what world is that ok},
After fleeing to Nashville where no one knows of her past but her friend Anna, she meets David {another book boyfriend} who owns his own bar, he's cute and adorable.

Lyric and David are happy until Lyric stumbles across a secret that if she tells it would ruin everything so once all is revealed Lyric runs back to Manhatten.............................................. what will ahppen with David and Lyric well you just gonna have to read and find out

This book was ok. There were a few things that bothered me. I'm not a fan of books written in first-person. Also, I found it a bit odd that after 40% of the book which had been from only one point of view, we suddenly had one chapter that switched between two characters. This happened again near the end. it seemed really out of place when the entire rest of the book was from a single point of view. Also, I found the heroine horribly immature and annoying, more like a teenager than a woman in her 20s.

It's not a bad book and, yes, David is rather nice. It was free and a mostly enjoyable read.

The basic story is good but sometimes the book reads too much like a high school novel too much sugar except for a brief scene with Matt
Oh one more thing
All along the book he keeps saying that he is 15 years older
However when she calls him
Old man he says he is 31 ... That means he is only 10 years older than his sister
Another place they say he is 27 when his parents die and SB is 15 that makes it 12 years older
Some difference in ages going on here

Your with Lyric from the beginning of the book. A mother who never sticks up for her and a cheat of a fiancé. Lyric finds herself at Nashville and then meets David! He's perfect in every way, can she risk falling in love again? This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes your toes curl. A MUST read.

I really enjoyed this book it have a great storyline. My only grievance was the ending. It was too rushed and I do enjoy a good epilogue but there wasn't one 😞 I feel the ending could have been padded out a bit but other than that I loved it. The sex scenes were nice and hot and the story was really enjoyable.
