I paid £38.99 (plus postage and packing) for one of these via Amazon marketplace in January 2008, it was too much then, it would be much too much now, on Amazon there are much more powerful graphics cards for the same money or less.
The one I have isn't the one in the picture, which I think must be an old image.
It's not very noisy, but the tone of the sound it does make seems to be very noticable considering how quiet it is.
If you can put up with low resolutions, it is capapable of playing some games.
I played Oblivion on it at I think 800x600 pixels, at higher resolutions than that the framerate wasn't acceptable, I suspect I tried a lower resolution with higher settings but returned to 800x600, and I certainly did buy a new graphics card quite soon.
The demo of Space Giraffe ran at what appeared to be the same speed at 1024x768 pixels as it did at 640x480 pixels. At 1152x864 pixels it seemed possibly a little slower, and at 1280x960 I'm sure it was slower.
Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic which is an older game but a good one ran acceptably fast at 1600x1200.
