I bought this graphics card to operate in an Asus M4A785TD-V EVO full ATX motherboard. I run a high end dual core AMD processor and have 8 gigs of ram. I run LINUX UBUNTU 12.04LTS instead of a Windows OS. Radeon chipsets work very well with all Linux OS's so I ignored Nvidia Geforce cards in case of driver problems. The M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard comes with Radeon HD4200 onboard graphics. These graphics, while good are a little slow for me now. I originally built my machine two years ago and my needs have changed a little, being more graphically intensive now. I figured an upgrade to the HD6570 card would be a good one as it has better band width, processor speed and more and faster memory. I was right! It's brilliant. I disabled my onboard graphics before fitting and popped the card in. I booted up and my machine ran faultlessly from the word go. I checked the ATI Radeon Catalyst control centre software on my computer for driver information and it had recognised the card immediately and made all the right settings automatically. The catalyst control centre does give a good range of adjustments should you need to play with the controls for your card and monitor.

Speed of the card for a budget card, is really good. It plays one of my main Linux shoot em up games (which has good 3D graphics by the way and vivid colours) at fantastic frame rates of 130+fps in high texture mode. Previously with the on-board graphics enabled it was 76-to 96 fps with medium textures enabled. Previously before the new card, opening folders with lots of photo thumbnails could take a few seconds for everything on screen to appear properly but now it's instant. Colours are sharper too. I regularly stream HD content from my Panasonic blu-ray recorder downstairs to my computer upstairs in my study. The card handles this faultlessly. The card comes with low profile fitting brackets but I didn't need them in my full size midi case. There is an instruction manual which is basic but ok. A cd carries all the drivers for Windows users, but no drivers for Linux Ubuntu or any other Linux system. But this does not matter as AMD Radeon supplies drivers on-line and will automatically find you on the net when you boot up for the first time with the new card in should you not have the Catalyst Control Centre loaded.

In summary, this card is really good, inexpensive and it works well on any Linux system. It will offer a sizeable boost to performance over mostly any on-board graphics. I mentioned Linux as this operating system often gets overlooked when someone reviews there purchase. This can leave the uninitiated wondering if the card will work in a Linux system. It does!

I bought this after deciding it was time to upgrade my computer and having spend hours upon hours scrolling through various reviews and product listings for graphics cards that were compatible with my motherboard.

This card came up trumps! I only had a small budget but, following the catastrophic failure of my previous graphics card, I still wanted to be able to run games with high spec graphics. I was looking for Nvidia, as I have been a loyal customer of theres for some time, but all were out of my price range. I found this little beaut and was happy to find it fit nicely into my tower and was compact enough to not require me to move around any other internal components.

The hardware itself is small, compact and very easy to install (it was my first time upgrading a computer and so was nervous about damaging other components). It comes with a whopping 2GB of DDR3 RAM built in. It runs quietly and easily copes with games from the last few years. As mentioned in other reviews, you would obviously get better performance with a newer card but with people's pockets stretched these days, for anyone wanting a good, solid graphics card at a budget price- look no further

If it does have a negative, then it would have to be it only has a single monitor port in it, whereas some slightly earlier and less powerful models allow for multi-screen systems. I have seen 2 screen systems and it is useful, for gamers in particular, but it is not an issue that I think warrants -1 star from the product rating.

I bought this card as my new Acer Aspire X3470 did not come with a DV-I interface. The computer is SFF and the power supply is only 220W so I was looking for a card with a low profile and low power draw and this card fitted the bill as I also wanted to do some light to medium gaming.
Istallation was easy enough, you need a small phillips scew driver (s standard small household one did the job) and small hex socket to change the backing plate to the low profile plate which was starightforward. You might not need the hex socket but I found the little connecting screws quite tight. The card fitted in the available slot but there isn't a lot of room. Setting the card up in dual graphics mode (the PC has a Llano chipset)was also straight forward although I'm not sure what difference it will make.
The card runs well and the power supply doesn't seem to be an issue. The fan is audible but not too distracting - if the graphics card is working hard there is usually other sound (game or movie) that drowns it out. The card does run a little hot at times but the fan is next to the case ventilation so that isn't an issue. I think the gaming performace is pretty good - I tend to play games that are a couple of years old on a 1280 x 1024 monitor at high detail and it copes admirably. As my computer wouldn't be up to new games at very high resloutions, a more powerful graphics card wouldn't be a help in any case.
Overall I'm delighted with this card as I was a liitle worried about the SFF case and weak power supply. For a my PC I don't think I could get a better buy.

Lieferung: Superpünktlich.
Verpackung: Alles Top.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ottima scheda video di fascia media anche per gamers non esigenti
Reviewed in Italy on 30 October 2012
