    WOW
I like this. I like this a lot.
I am a fussy old so-and-so and I need good levels of functionality in my toys. This has it. The sound is excellent. The controls are easy to navigate. The screen is very clear indeed. The ability to search is very thorough - according to artist, album, genre or playlist. The Radio reception is incredible given the size of the unit!
It is the size of a matchbox. It feels sturdy and the clip looks like it won't break off easily. The colour is much better than the pictures would have you believe. It is a shiny, almost metallic red and looks gorgeous.
In addition to charging via USB on your computer, it also works fine with the Hama travel charger kit which comes with a mains plug connection and one for the car too.
The battery life is excellent and the storage capacity is, of course, HUGE!! I have loaded huge shed loads of stuff on there so far and still not used 1 GIG!
Performance, looks and functionality EASILY outstrips it's rivals - iPOD nano and the Zen Stone plus.
Don't even think about it twice (I took AGES choosing and comparing functionalities etc etc!) this is the best one of it's sort - by far.

I'm so impressed by this product that I've had to write a review. I wanted a small MP3 player for going out for walks - did not want or need video playback. The controls are simple, sound quality is good. The battery last for a long time - I have hourly walks each day and it only needs charging once a week. The radio is a bonus, and works well. I've put all my regular albums onto the player and have only used half the memory.

I loved the red colour so much that I've bought some red head phones. This is important as the player is so small it can be "lost" under house clutter. The red colour helps me find it easily.

Ok, i recently bought two pink ones, well 3 days ago to be exact. The first thing i did was to charge them both up, so i connected them one at a time to my pc (Phillips windows xp). Not sure how long i should have left them on charge because there was no specific recomendations for that in the manual so i left them on charge for about 5 hours each. Anyway what i've noticed is that the battery only charges up to about 3/4s then it won't go passed that. I then went out and bought myself an mp3 mains charger, thought that would do the trick but i found exactly the same problem. Anyway, a friend of mine has suggested that i let the battery life run down to zero then try and charge it again from fresh as she reckons that some batteries do better the second charge around. This morning (day 4) after the second full charge i have noticed that without even using the mp3 it has lost a third of its battery charge.

This product sounds great, the radio is great, it seems like a doddle to load music on to it, however for me, so far, the batteries on these two products are ruining all the enjoyment that i and my friend are likely to derive from them.

Despite what it says regarding minimum system requirements, (XP SP2 + WMP10), you can easily get this player working with Windows Me or 98SE, with earlier versions of WMP, simply by changing the USB mode, (Settings > USB mode), to "MSC". The player then appears in My Computer as a Removable Disk (e.g. E:\) and you just drag-and-drop your music files to the "Music" folder (E:\Music). Easy!

The internal battery takes about 4 hours to fully charge through the USB2 port on my PC. However, it'll also charge using a mains-to-USB charger, which you'd need if you plan to having the player away from your computer for some time e.g. on holiday. Haven't timed how long a full charge lasts but it appears pretty good. Sound quality seems very good to me through Sony or Sennheiser earphones (haven't tried the ones supplied with the player).

The display screen is clear and bright and the "time out" can be adjusted in the Settings menu. The clip holds the player tightly and can be removed if you want. The red colour looks great. My only (minor) gripe is that the supplied USB cable is very short, but it's a standard USB-A to mini USB-B cable (often used with digital cameras, PDAs, etc.) so it's easy to pick up a longer one if necessary.

    Great little player!

Bought this for my daughters birthday. I loaded up the Beethoven moonlight sonata to try to edjurcate her with some classix.

I'm v impressed - piano is a demanding test for audio equipment and the sound is absolutely lovely, even the supplied phones are pretty decent and certainly better than the standard creative ones.

The other thing to comment on is that it looks dreadful in the amazon photo - its not: its v cool indeed . i don't like the clip on the back (i suppose its apeing the equiv ipod) but its fixed so you have to lump it. its also unbelievably teeny: dead sweet!

All the above is true. however it died after about a year and had to be replaced. lose points.

There are so many to choose from with MP3 players so it took me a while to decide. I took my chances with this a bit as there were few reviews but I have been sooo pleased with it! Its so tiny and easily clips on your clothes for excercising or doing things around the house. The sound quality is great and the battery seems to last ages aswell. You can pay a lot more for an MP3 with half the memory and a lot less features so it is great value aswell also it's really easy to navigate. I'm so pleased i went for this one :0). Go on give it a go! You wont be disappointed!
