I was a little worried when reading some of the feedback here. While the majority of it is positive (and rightly so), there were some complaints about the quality of the Sandisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo MSPD Gaming Card For Sony PSP - Retail Pack .

Having purchased SanDisk cards in the past for my digital cameras, I was immediately drawn to them for a card for my new PSP.

I'm happy to report that the card works perfectly, playing back media flawlessly and providing more than enough storage for games/demos/videos/music.

There are only 2 things preventing a full 5 stars: -

1. The lack of an adaptor for connecting the card to a card reader for the PC (these come bundled with the official Sony cards, and are available separately). However the card can still be accessed on the PC, via a USB connection to the PSP.

2. It's not a full 8GB card, instead the memory card holds around 7.5GB of data. While this is common amongst memory card providers, it is a little bit of a let down, as 500MB is a sizeable chuck of missing space.

All in all, I recommend this card to anyone who needs additional space for their device. At a price that's reasonable, the quality of the Sandisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo MSPD Gaming Card For Sony PSP - Retail Pack can't be beaten.

I bought this card especially for my PSP and it came already formatted in PSP style. So it is just plugging in and you can use it, nothing formatting.
It works fine (for now that is). I hope it won't blcok in the future, but as I also own some other 2GB Sandisk MS cards for the PSP, they work perfectly already for the last 4 years.
The beauty of this DUO card is that it can be used in my camara of SOny also without any problems.
It is very strange that I also have a 2GB MS of SONY which broke down (you can take pictures, and suddenly the pictures are in half, strange colors, and then suddenly it is dead until you format it again). Sony dóesnñy have any lifetime garanty, so they told me they wont change it (pay more and get less). So I am very happy with these cards as I know that SANDISK is a better quality and lifetime of their cards.
I can remommend this cards to everybody. Oh yes, it is a fast card also for charging the programs.

And it came delivered in perfect condition after 4 days (Spain).

I have had this for about 2 months now and I must admit its a good product. I use it for my PSP 1000 (1st Generation) and its very good value for money and amazon offered it at the cheapest price I could find.

However, I have a slight issue with it. I am not sure whether it's just me or anyone else has the same problem, but I can only make full use of the 8GB, when I use the USB cable to transfer files on it via the PSP. If I try to plug it into the Laptop, (with a Pro Duo adaptor) I can only use 3GB of it apparantly and only when I format it. So it won't allow me to read and edit files on the Memory Stick if I use the memory slot and an error message comes up saying: "Memory Stick not Formatted"...???

Otherwise, it's a good product, fast, huge amount of space and as said very good value for money.

I went to Top Gear Live in london and wanted to have a card for all the pictures and videos i was going to take. I got bundeled a card with my Sony camera from a different seller within amazon that was faulty and so i looked for another card. This card came accross as the best value for money and on the day of the event it worked flawlessly from the moment i turned it on. I stored 25 videos recording at 720p and 223 pictures at 1080p. This card deserves a 5 star because of the performace i have recieved from the product. Another added bonus is that it works with all Sony Products with a Pro Duo Slot. So ill be taking this out of the camera and putting it into the PSP for traveling this year. I would recomend this to any person looking for this type of card...

I used this as I wanted to use it on a PSP E-1000 which I had bought the previous day. I forgot to buy a memory card and so couldn't save any games. However, I looked on the 'Game' website and found the price of a 2gb memory card to be more money than this 4gb one, so I opted on getting one from Amazon. I was surprised and pleased at how little time it took to arrive and I can say with confidence, that this card is one of the best out there and has done me justice so far.

I know I am colour blind but I am darn sure this card advertised is RED? Is it not RED? I know I have a Red/Green defect in colour blindness but I can see bright RED, the pronblem is when the colour red mingles to yellow I get confused. Anyways, I got GREEN 8GB Pro Duo Memory Card! Now please explain to me how I can be so stupidly colour blind that it looks red to me but I get a GREEN memory card? The card is fine, its MagicGate supported and is fine! But someone please assure me that the card is RED not GREEN as received? And I thought it was despatched by Amazon and not as Indigo Starfish depatched it! eh? This is all very confusing!!!

A Genuine Sandisk Memory Stick

Well, at least the memory stick I've received is Genuine. To tell as whether it is a real sandisk product, look for the serial numbers on the back of the card.

Genuine one are in white characters or numbers, they were in an extremely thin front and almost identical to those scratched onto the card with a knife. (you can actually feel the fronts engraved onto the card with your fingers).

Performanced wise, the transfer speed such as saving and loading has been great!!! It has been 3 months and the card is still going (will post a follow up comment once it stops working).
