I shoot Nikon (D750, D3 and D700) which take SD cards and Compact Flash Cards. I have always used Sandisk and always will. I'm also a bit paranoid at receiving fakes so I only ever buy from Amazon themselves and not 3rd party sellers. I never, ever touch memory cards on that famous auction site as I just don't trust them!!
These work brilliantly in my D750 (I use two - slot two as a back-up). They write very quickly and this was most obvious after a trip to Italy in November 2016. I had used all my Sandisk cards up so I borrowed some other brand cards. Painfully slow is not even close! I missed shots due to the camera buffer not being able to manage with the other brand cards. They also took in excess of 15 seconds to view the images after I had taken the shots. I know all of this comes down to the class of the cards.
Save yourself time and money and buy the largest and fastest cards you can afford and which are compatible with your camera from the onset. Your sanity and wallet will thank yo in the end!
I don't shoot motor racing, or any kind of spray and pray at 10fps stuff - for one thing my camera tops out at 6 fps. So, these cards are perfect for my use. I tend to work in portraiture and may capture a few shots in sequence to catch the moment. Essentially my work is at a slower pace than a sports photographer, so I don't really need the super high speed cards that they might use.
Reliable, reasonably fast cards at Amazon prices - you can't go wrong.
My only "grouch" is that these come with the offer of 1yrs' free download and use of the Sandisk Rescue Pro Deluxe file recovery s/w package (which does work well from past experience), but the download instructions do not make it very clear that you appear to have to Register the card on the Sandisk website BEFORE you can then Activate the downloaded Rescue Pro Deluxe s/w.
If you don't register then the Activation does not appear to work and you get an "expired subscription" error message - if you have already had that then completely uninstall Rescue Pro, Register the card, reinstall Rescue Pro and then follow the Activation process and enter the Licence code printed on the inside of the card packaging, and then it should work OK.
BTW: I had to jump through some hoops with Sandisk Support before I came to the above conclusion, and I was not terribly impressed with the clarity of info they gave.
All I can say is, coming from using much earlier cards I'm shocked how amazingly fast this card is.
Capacity is way beyond my camera's battery capacity - I'll have recharged the camera 4 or 5 times and still have half the memory card unused.
Was a bit nervous about not buying Sony's own brand memory card for a £300+ Sony camera. Needn't have worried.
Glad I bought this one.
Price is on the high side, but this is a newer card, so I expect that. Overall very happy with the product.
