This tv-monitor starts fast, has good quality image 1080, the speakers sound satisfactory for a led tv. However, the screen has a matte finish more than I expected and the plug was for EU and I have not tried the MHL port but the others work well.
Nice TV looks good and the picture quality is good however I would have never found that out as it was delivered with no UK power supply lead and only the EU lead and that's not much help lucky I had one .
This monitor was bought mainly for a PS4. For gaming it is superb, I have yet to find fault with the display. I have not noticed any lag or juddering, there is a game mode and also a refponse setting. I set the monitor up using an AV disk which I also used for my main TV. Colour and sharpness are brilliant. Adjusting the settings is identical to that on Samsung TV's. Sound is clear but does lack Bass, which many thin LCD's do. The monitor is lighter than the 20" Sony it has replaced and fits on the VESA mount better. TV is standard definition and pretty good, dedicated TV's often handle an SD picture better though. The programming is simple and the guide is as the normal Samsung TV, it cannot record to USB (the Smart version can but that is £50 more) but it can schedule timers. The connections are excellent, picture settings are stored for each input individually and also for the change of picture mode on each one such as standard setting to movie mode. Game mode is also available with separate settings stored. Using a PC on HDMI required a greater sharpness setting but it looked great. I have not tried he decdicated PC input. Netflix from PS3 (component connection 1080) looked perfect as did all the catch up apps (still having a PS3 is why I did not go for the smart version) The monitor will play back movies, photos and music from USB, some FLV files don not play and it cannot handle 50fps MP4 but upto 30fps 1080 MP4 are fine. I am using the monitor straight on,in a medium to dark location, viewing angles from the side are good, from lower down brightness and colour changes very little but viewing from a higher line of view they change consederably. The screen can also reflect bright objects more than expected even though it has a matt finish. Overall an excellent monitor / TV, if it had Freeview HD it would get 5 stars.
Whilst this works very well and is a nice quality picture, it is really only suitable as a monitor or free standing tv as the shape of the back does not allow it to be fitted on a wall bracket.
