These 3D glasses are great! I use them with the D6530, and they provide a great 3D experience. Now the glasses themselves are not exactly 'stylish' but they're certainly not ugly! The reason for the 5 stars is the comfort! Having tried sony 3D glasses prior to buying these (the sonys are horribly uncomfortable and heavy) I wasnt expecting much, but they literally feel weightless. The large foam nose pad makes them feel light and comfortable, and the arms are fairly soft too. Its a shame however that I wear prescription glasses, as it does become heavy wearing both pairs, but they sit neatly underneath, and together they are more comfortable than a cinema 3d/prescription glasses combo. The battery port is nicely accessible, and syncing is a synch! Highly recommended, as these are surely the best on the market in terms of confort, and price.

I bought these glasses for our new Samsung UE55D8000 (it only comes with one pair). I wear them over the top of my normal glasses and find them comfortable and they don't look too silly. These have a bluetooth connection with the TV which works very well and they turn themselves off once the 3D picture finishes or you turn off the TV which is a nice feature and isn't mentioned in the tiny booklet that comes with the glasses. Downside is they were expensive when I bought them in April 11 but the price does seem to be coming down.

Great value from Amazon. Mainstream high street dealers, want at least £65.00 each. Ordered at 14.00, received next day on saver delivery. What service. Really comfortable even over prescription glasses, easiest thing I have ever linked via bluetooth to other electrical device.Viewing top rate 3D incredible (better than the cinema)on Samsung UE40D8000, only give 4 stars due to battery power rather than rechargeable, however a small price to pay, will have to see how long the battery lasts.

I was apprehensive about the whole 3D thing but having bought a capable TV recently I thought it silly not to get some glasses as well, and I'm glad I did. While a lot of the professional reviews say home 3D isn't up to much I must say I have to disagree. With the right content, preferably something designed for 3D and in hi-def on blu-ray the effect is actually very good and these glasses bring it out pretty well for me. A lot is made about the battle between Samsung preferring active 3D and LG preferring passive, I've looked at both and they're both pretty decent but I went for the Samsung based on what I believe to be other features of my television superior over LG. This does mean of course that I have to fork out for these more expensive active glasses though.

About the glasses themselves, they're impressively compact and lightweight for active glasses. I remember using active 3D at work quite a few years ago now and the glasses were huge and heavy, fear not with these though as that's definitely not the case. They're powered by a small lithium battery (which lasts for ages) that slips unnoticed into one side and have a simple on/off switch on the other side. With your 2011 Samsung set at the ready (yes as other reviewers have mentioned these are not for 2010 models or other makes of TV) you just hold them close to the TV to turn them on and they synchronise over bluetooth automatically. When 3D content is displayed on the TV and the glasses are on they automatically switch over to 3D mode for you hence only having an on/off switch. As I've already mentioned the 3D picture is fine fine for me (I have the UE37D6530 TV).

I recently bought the Samsung UE55ES8000 TV and the 2 pairs of glasses that came with the telly are not only flimsy but they have no edges to them so it is really easy to get distracted by the corners of your eyes. I searched everywhere as with a Samsung Smart 3D TV you have to buy (yes you've guessed it) Samsung ONLY 3D glasses (no other glasses are apparently compatible). After lots of research on line I discovered that it is near impossible for 3d lenses to be made with curves in the lenses, so that is why the frame is shaped the way it is. However, with the SSG-3100GB glasses there is a lot more of the frame blacked out at the corners so minimises the corner distractions you get with other glasses. I was worried that the glasses wouldn't work as they were released a couple of years ago and the TV I have is the most recent model (as at March 2013)but they paired up and work absolutely fine. There is the usual flicker effect if you look at daylight windows through them or normal/energy saver light bulbs in the evening (halogen and LED light bulbs do not give the flicker effect strangely enough!)A must buy - do your research first to make sure they are compatible with your Samsung 3D TV though. You won't be disappointed. Flicker effect by the way is normal for an 'active pair' of any brand of 3D glasses.

These are manufacturer originals and are very comfortable, I wear glasses that are quite wide but these still fit nicely over them without any heaviness on my face or nose, really comfortable nice glasses that work perfectly with the samsung series 8 3D smart tv andcustomer services are very helpful too
