Thankfully, mine arrived in fine fettle from Amazon, complete with anlaogue and DVI cables. The single sheet of printed instructions, being only technically in English, were a bizarre reading experience. The Samsung website was far more meaningful. The supplied CD allowed me to update the Windows drivers. I also took the opportunity to update my graphics divers from the ATI website.
The widescreen format is indeed seductive and everything seems fine when the monotor is used at its native resolution (1680*1050) via DVI. Adjusting font sizes in windows and IE helped my rather poor eyesight cope with the higher resolution. Brightness and contrast settings were too high by default but are fine when reduced to a reasonable level. No bad pixels found. Stand is height adjustable. Strategy games play well enough and look really fantastic if they support the native resolution.
Movies are fine too, again thanks to widescreen format. Good value for the money provided you have a DVI capable graphics card but I would have been happier if Amazon had dropped the price to its current level before (rather than just after) I bought it! Happy with mine.
