After maybe less than 20 uses, it no longer reads my Blu-Ray discs but reads DVD's fine. It crashes quite often when it did work.
Not very reliable for the price I paid.
Product is not listed on Samsung website for troubleshoots/queries, attempts for repairs are fees that end up costing you just as much as buying a new one.
I've not even had a chance to use it to write Blu-Rays.
Would not recommend this product at all. After much research online, a lot of other people have been having the same issue as me, so it's quite a common issue.
There is now an officially endorsed Blu-Ray playback application for OS X which works perfectly with the drive.
I went for the white model (also available in black) as it is a better visual match for Apple devices. The build quality isn't quite as good as Apple's devices but nevertheless, it is a good product. It has a slide out tray rather than a slot on Apple drives. It is a little noisier than Apple drives too but the sound of your movie will drown that out (and I usually sound isolating wear headphones).

It works well. I can even watch my dvds (region 1) and blu-rays from America. Very good item.Published 10 months ago by Amazon Customer
Perfect Blu-ray writer. Works with all my Macs as well. Have just backed up ten years of photos on one Blu-ray disc, with over half of the disc unwritten. Read morePublished 15 months ago by The Lorax
I own one of these since March 2013.
It's still going strong after all this time. It's silent, looks nice, does its job well.
5 full stars!
Works well with a Mac... although you'll need additional Blue-Ray playing software to actually watch a BR through it on a Mac.Published 21 months ago by DW_1982

I've not actually used this for writing a Blu-Ray yet, but for creating backups of my Blu-Ray collection and putting them onto my media server it has been perfect. Read morePublished on 21 July 2014 by D. Unsworth
