The Samsung tab a is worse than expected. Even for the low price, it’s infuriatingly slow. I bought it as a dedicated tablet for aviation gps software (skydemon), which takes far less space than Facebook or YouTube etc. I deleted everything that I could, running only skydemon and it was slower than on my three year old HTC phone. I’ll do Samsung a favour and not compare it to my iPad Pro (admittedly far more expensive). Overall, I fail to see the point of this tablet. It’s nowhere near as good as a half decent smartphone, let alone an ipad. Light browsing and emails is about this tablets limits. Good luck with YouTube!

Got this as a replacement for a Kindle Fire HD8, which was useless and returned as faulty. The Tab A was £20+ cheaper at the time than Argos. Whilst it is a little slow, it suits my needs for a travel device. The onbard storage could be better, even with some apps installed to sd card, but I've installed a 128gb micro sd card, so storage for books and music isn't a problem. Works OK with a small portable bluetooth speaker. Overall good for the price.

to be clear im am using this mostly for reading. I installed 3 apps. ES file explorer, Aldiko and Twitch. then went to install my fitness pal and couldnt, the storage was full. THAT is how little space you have on this device as default. The space is used up (im guessing here) by touch wiz.

This is otherwise a brilliant tablet but doubling the internal storage would have cost pennies for the developer.

If you buy this you NEED an SD card, i dont care how little you intend to put on it, you NEED one.

The general quality of this Samsung product is as excellent as it should be although the screen had a couple of tiny sticky spots on it which I had to remove before fitting the glass screen saver.

For the price this 7 inch Samsung Tab A3 isn't bad but the internal memory capacity of 8GB leaves a lot to be desired especially for the apps these days. The plus side, there is a Micro SD card slot in the side of the unit.

This Tab A3 should be at least 16GB internal memory for apps etc, the camera is ok but not as good as a Samsung Galaxy S7/S8 phones so think on if it is the camera you are getting it for, there is no flash on the rear camera and no front camera at all so FaceTime is out.

The size of this 7 inch tablet is brilliant to hold, it's not too bulky as the others are 10 inch screens which I find a bit heavy on the wrist while using so YouTube and Facebook are not bad. I've read other reviews and some are saying it is slow in response... they're right! I can't really understand what Samsung are playing at putting such an underpowered tablet on sale to be slated like this!

I do own an iPad Mini for apple music but the Samsung Tab A3 is slightly smaller but I use it for different tasks, it's the difference between the mac and the android systems, likes and dislikes etc.

I conclude my write up in saying this Samsung Tab A3 Tablet could have been so much better for an extra few quid but not bad for what it is, don't get me wrong, however you get what you pay for at the end of the day.

After owning this tablet one month I can safely say it's one of the worst decisions I've ever made buying this as its slow compared to the Galaxy phones... don't bother.

I am a bit disappointed with this 7 inch tablet, it's nothing like as good as my old 7 inch Lenovo that wore out after years of use. This tablet is fine for some things, like reading the news, listening to music on YouTube with headphones, and doing a bit of shopping. But when I put a new cover on it, it got really hot which slowed everything down astronomically. So I had to take it off again and I am now using it without a case, which is not ideal as I have arthritis in my hands and the bare tablet is not easy to hold onto. Also, when I put a little word game on the tablet, the touch screen did not work properly, so I was unable to play the game. It also takes a long time to charge up.

This device has very little memory to begin with. It comes with loads of integrated apps that cannot be uninstalled (like YouTube), and, if you do updates on all the apps included, you run out of memory and can’t update anything. You can’t even have one extra app on there before the memory runs out. I had to buy a micro SD card to store my apps on so the tablet was at least useful. Turn auto updates off and only update what you need. This tablet is painfully slow too. There is definitely better tablets out there. This one is rubbish.
