I placed an order for four of these drives on Tuesday 1st March and they were delivered by HDN on Thursday 3rd March. This was using Amazon's free delivery option, so full marks for a speedy delivery.

I know Amazon's packaging of hard drives has come under fire, so I thought I'd comment on that: The drives were each in their own hard, clear plastic case and placed in a cardboard box with foam padding above and below. Each of the four boxes were then placed in a larger box, with thick, brown paper filling in the gaps. (I'm going to try and upload some pictures.)

I gave the box a gentle shake when I received it and the four boxes inside didn't move, much. I imagine the couriers gave it more abuse than I did, so I'm hoping the fact the drives were in their individual boxes has minimise any shocks.

I've just checked the s/n of each drive on Samsumgs website and the warranties are showing as 'Code 100 This product is under warranty' until April 2014. So that's 3 years.

The drive's stickers state the Model as HD204UI, but the HDD P/N as HD204UI/Z4. The warranty checker lists the former, but not the latter.

I think the manufacturing date (No. 4 in list on sticker, with chinese writing) is 2011.01
