After using this dock for over a month now I can say that it does exactly what I wanted. I was after a dock which allowed me to use my phone as a landscape alarm clock which also charged my phone...which is exactly what it does.
My only slight criticism is that it takes some practice to place the phone in the dock without pressing the touchscreen.
The dock was slightly more expensive than I was wanting to pay but I haven't regretted spending that little bit more as it feels like a quality product and I know my phone won't be scratched or damaged.
p.s. I use Dock Clock as the on screen clock as it automatically fills the screen with the ICS Android clock font (which I love) when the phone is placed in the dock and dims the screen more than the system clock (so I don't get a blue glow in the room). For an alarm I use Alarm Clock Xtreme as it has good fade in settings and a big snooze button so I don't wake the house up (if the system alarm had a fade setting I wouldn't need this as Dock Clock integrates with the system alarm).

To fully use this dock your [[ASIN:B005XYU45E Galaxy Nexus 16GB Sim Free Smartphone]] needs to be updated to at least firmware 4.0.4. On any firmware prior to 4.0.4 you will lack the automatic clock face, music out and full charging rate (charges at USB rate).
The dock is self is pretty simple. You need to look good when you slide it in. Just putting it in can cause it to slide to the front. The price is a bit too high for such a dock but if you really want the original dock its nice to have.
