Praise for Jay Crownover:

‘A wildly addicting read!’ Cora Carmack, New York Times bestselling author of Losing It

‘Deliciously real, raw, and romantic. Jay Crownover is amazing!’ Monica Murphy, New York Times bestselling author

‘The characters of Crownover's Marked Men series are all outlandishly colorful and irresistibly passionate, while still being so genuine that their stories become unforgettable’ RT BOOK REVIEWS

About the Author

Jay Crownover is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men and Welcome to the Point series. Like her characters, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she’ll settle for writing stories with interesting characters and make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.

What?!! This is a Saints of a Denver novel after all.
I strongly recommend that you buy the series from the start -Levelled. Whilst your could read this book as a standalone, I feel you would miss out on back story references.
The SOD series started after the Marked Men series but you don't have to start with the MM series first.
Back to the book, I agree with other reviewers this has more romance and less angst. Both the lead characters are lovely. The book is sweet, not dentist requiring sweet, but more a tug at the "feels" sweet.
In short Poppy is an abuse survivor and Wheeler is a man who has bettered the cards dealt to him to become a garage owner and restorer of classic cars. The two are drawn to each other due to what the have overcome not because they are broken. It's a little rougher than boy meets girl, girl kisss boy etc, but it is sweet, warm and best of all shows the power of tenacity.
For readers of the series the ending is exactly what you would want.
For those new to Jay Crownover - trust me you will love the series, and there are a lot of other books written by this talented and generous writer.

It's no secret I'm a huge Jay Crownover fan, she's a go to author for me and she's never let me down yet. I've been impatient for Poppy and Wheeler’s story, they’ve been hovering on the sidelines waiting to get their story told. A slight change from her usual writing style, Jay has diverted to a little more romance, and let's be honest Poppy and Wheeler needed romance, they both have way too much bad in their pasts to have anything less. They deserve a happy ever after, they deserve each other, they are after all two pretty perfect souls. Of course there are a few bumps in the road but Poppy and Wheeler together are a force to be reckoned with, a force backed by a team of beautifully tattooed men and their women. It was so great that our Marked Men and Saints of Denver play some wonderful cameos in this novel. Salvaged I'm sure can be read and enjoyed as a standalone but at the very least I would recommend reading the previous Saints of Denver books, why would you want to miss out on such wonderful writing. This book was perfection for me. A full five stars and more.

I wish there were more than 5 stars!!! Like a lot of readers I was really looking forward to Poppy & Wheeler's story, there is something about the ones who have been downtrodden and betrayed getting their HEA!!!

It was a beautiful love story that had some grit and glimpses into the other SOD & Marked amen characters too! I loved that we got to see Poppy go from victim to survivor with Wheeler's strength and connection helping her, and her devotion to Jim helping him through his journey!!

I absolutely loved it and am sad this is the last book in the SoD, but I look forward to the other series that Jay Crownover writes so well!!

So pleased that Poppy and Wheeler have got their own story. Very sensitively written story about two genuinely good people, you are willing to find the happiness and sense of belonging they both so deserve.
Have loved all the Saints books but this was my favourite and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The extra epilogue was a nice touch too. Definitely a recommended read.

Amazing and gentle and very sensitive to the topic of abuse and the different ramifications that happen daily to make survivors question and gently ease into freedom. Wheeler and poppy deserved a happy ever after and there sensitivities made them perfect for each other. Fab read

Two really good genuine people who deserved each other. A rather lovely story about 2 souls who need help and help each other heal. Jay said it best in the authors note when she has to dive deep for the pure heart and romance of a story and it was captured very beautifully.

I couldn't wait for Poppy to get her own story. It was worth the wait, I loved how she and Wheeler grew together in this book and looked after each other. A five star read.
