This posthumously published book is a superb accompaniment to Falkus' two great books on Salmon and Sea trout fishing-It contains the distilled wisdom of a man who almost never had a blank night's fishing, and it is easy to see why: a must for beginners/weekend anglers and a useful guide for the more experienced, this is a worthy tribute to Falkus, and has been very sympathetically edited and completed by Malcolm Greenhalgh

A no-nonsense simply written, nicely laid out manual of salmon fishing. Covers prawn and worm fishing in addition to fly fishing and spinning. Also includes chapters on loch and saltwater fishing for salmon and seatrout. Lacks the prose of Falkus' other works such as Salmon Fishing or Seatrout Fishing but makes up for this by the inclusion of two beautifully written appendices on salmon and sea trout fishing.
A superb "Haynes" guide to salmon fishing.

I've only just managed to get my mitts on a copy of this book after I lost track of my last one after loaning it out to someone. The first rule of being in the "Hugh Falkus Book Owners Club" is never, ever, ever, ever lend your books to anyone...Anyway,back to the book. Its a short but sweet comment..After forking out £75.00 I can say Its just as brilliant as my first copy !!!
