Feedback is quick, i.e. changes on panel reflected in the virtual cockpit.

The black dials are extremely tight. Very hard to turn, and if you dont have this mounted to your desk - the panel will probably just slide around rather than let you turn the dial. Ive sat in front of the tv turning them back and forth for a long time, in an attempt to loosen them...to no avail. I seriously think some senior sim flyers might have trouble with these black dials.

Mounting it on top of yoke just ends up being too high, blocking computer screen...hence why i mentioned it being on the desk.

Speaking of mounting, Saitek issued an allen key AGAIN that is useless. Its diameter is far too small to remove the screws on the Saitek yoke top. Saitek sent similar 'too small' allen key with the Switch panel. So you will need to get your own allen key if u want to mount on the yoke.

What really irritates me about this product, is the silver dials. They are very loose and imprecise (both of them). Sometimes you will turn them one notch, and the freq will change by value of 10, other times it will jump by 20. It seems to skip in some places,i.e. there isnt consistent physical feedback with the indents around the dial. You'll need to turn it left and right (repeat) to eventually get it where you want it. This means you must be watching it carefully when tuning...cant just reach out and turn it around whilst keeping eyes on the sky.
I've read other reviews on the internet which suggest this could be a common problem.

Therefore i've marked this product down due to its build quality, which does affect its usability majorly.

Doesn't seem happy connected to a usb hub (powered), so make sure you've got a mainboard usb slot free.

Given that this device's sole purpose is to provide an interface to Microsoft Flight Simulator's radio functions, for £120 it ought to do so flawlessly. It doesn't, and the rickety knobs provide nothing other than endless frustration as you try to select the frequency you want. The knobs have reassuring mechanical clicks, but unfortunately these bear no relation to what they actually do. Sometimes a click increments by one step, sometimes two, and sometimes none. The result is that trying to select a particular frequency is an exercise in frustration, requiring jiggling of the knobs until, if you're lucky, the right numbers appear. What is barely tolerable for tuning the radios is totally unacceptable for setting the transponder (four times the pain). At this price it's almost criminal.

I was looking for radio panel for a month and I had no choice in the end buy to buy Saitek, I've looked at custom made ones even those from abroad but they exceeded my budget and they didn't look as good as saitek. so despite the bad comments about the dials I went ahead and I can say I am happy with them, I've installed them for Windows 10 and using the plugins and drivers from saitek website I really can't complain much about the dials, sometimes when I fire the simulator the first time they don't turn on so I unplug one of the usbs and plug back in then they work flawlessly, yes I have to adjust slightly weired as one dial click doesn't mean it's one digit but after couple of tries I gotten used to this and I can switch frequencies without issues besides it's really meant for the looks as you still have to use the keyboard and press "1" to make your request after you dial the frequency anyway.

I also replaced the left knobs straight away with bigger ones, it was just a matter of pulling them out very easy cheap quick mod.

Pros
you get 4 displays and Com, Nav, DME and Transponder in 1 unit!
looks so good easy to install on top of the yoke
compatible with win 10, 8, 7 "64bit"

cons
dials take time to get used to switch frequencies "turn slower than normal"
dials bit hard to turn but not as bad as described.

This device is not plug and play. You will need to install SPAD in order for the dials to function as they should.

Also, the numerals on my unit do not display evenly, even when I use a USB booster.

Nonetheless, this unit is essential for serious flight simming.

Good product once it is working. Saitek stuff is very difficult to install on your computer. I like the hardware once it is working but honestly do not see how Saitek can release a product that is so expensive and will not work for most users out of the box. Unless you are computer literate you will have difficulties getting it to work.

This is excellent, i bought it for Xplane and use on my Mac. It will not work straight away out of the box with x-plane but no fear, goto this website http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14646 and you will be able to download the plugin for it. Its easy to install just follow the instruction in the readme file. There is a youtube video here on how to install https://youtu.be/rNhCbr3JiAQ

Useful addition to my virtual plane. Two sets of controls for Com 1 & 2, Nav 1 & 2, ADF, DME and transponder. Much better than using the mouse on screen. I would have given it ***** but the silver knobs on the right for changing the frequency etc are a little fiddly. They change numbers by 2 for each 'click' so you have to carefully turn the knob just a little before it 'clicks'. Don't let this put you off though as it is a great piece of kit. It's easy to install by following the instructions. You soon get used to using a gentle touch on the silver knobs and makes sim-flying that much more realistic.
