This book is a great disappointment. It contains almost nothing about Sage that you wouldn't already know by opening the dialogue boxes. Most pages are screen shots with arrows pointing to the boxes telling you what you already know (customer name goes here, etc).
The insights into the non-obvious bits of Sage that I was hoping for, such how Suspense Accounts work, were completely missed. The book assumes that you already think like the designers of Sage, in which case you might as well not buy it.
There are a very few "hot-tips", which help a little, but they don't rescue this book from being a disaster.

Being new to the Sage package I purchased the book to learn the basics and get me started, I found the pages easy to follow with screen prints so you knew what your screen should look like. I think it is a must for anyone learning the basics of Sage, and would recommend it for students and those starting off with this package.

This is an excellent book for Sage beginners. It has proved popular on my course and is now the recommended text book. It makes no claims to teach accounting practice, that is a different subject altogether, but it does exactly what is says on the cover - introduces Sage in easy steps.
