The reviews for this book were harsh in my opinion. Sadie is a woman who works in her fathers bookstore, enjoys her own company and loves her dog. When she unhappily agrees to go out with her friends meeting Ethan was not what she planned but changes everything. Ethan has never had a serious relationship, he finds woman who just want a hookup so he doesn't complicate his life but when he meets Sadie things change and he knows she will be his. Can they compromise together to build the life they want or will life get in the way?
I enjoyed this book, it's a simple story bad boy meets girl of his dreams and changes, knowing she's it for him. It may seem a bit cheesy but overall that's a love story. The story and plot are simple. The characters are good although some are really annoying. So many misunderstandings lead to some serious angst but the cute moments make it a nice romance although tempestuous at times. The sex is sweet, loving but hot as hell. Some grammatical errors but nothing too bad. Overall a nice read that I would recommend if you're looking for a simple romance.

I really did not like this book for two reasons. !. The characters eventually got on my nerves. It all seemed a bit juvenile. 2. The book needs editing - badly. There were far too many distracting errors in grammar and jumping around from first to third person which was confusing. The 2 stars is just for the effort of writing a book - I know I couldn't do it. Please either get an editor or brush up on your English before publishing. I downloaded for free - I am very glad I didn't pay for this book.

I really struggled with this book, I read both the reviews and the sample before downloading and I really liked the idea of this book but to be honest it just didn't work for me at all.
It moved far too fast and wasn't remotely believable. On meeting Ethan, Sadie informs him that she's not interested, then she tells him that she's just not interested, then that she not having sex with him, she informs him that buying her a coffee won't get him sex either and so it continues, which would be fine a girl has to have principals after all but then in no time at all she's almost begging him for sex.
For me Ethan wasn't an alpha male he was a controlling jealous possessive jerk and even when more positive things came to light about him I just couldn't bring myself to like him.
I also took issue with the writing style, bits I found creepy, really creepy. Now I'm not giving anything away by telling you they have sex and we know from the other review that she's a virgin so...the first time they have sex, she's a virgin and he says "Sadie, this will probably hurt. Almost every girl that I've deflowered said it was painful and cried." Ok now is it just me or is this not something you'd like to hear if you were in this position, so I'm thinking ok that's enough, stop talking but no he continues on "I usually enjoy taking women's virginities." Again not what you'd want to hear, Sadie is an inexperienced virgin who's in love with him does she really want her first time to involve him talking about other women, or any time for that matter.
On top of everything else it also needed editing, here's one example: Ethan pulled out of me then lied beside me.

The author wrote an amazing story where the characters showed us that love at first sight exists and can also lead to something great. There were a few grammatical errors but is all the book was great.

I don't like to write bad reviews but I'm so frustrated at reading this book, I have to vent it. I thought this book sounded quite promising by the blurb. I have to say I was sorely disappointed. The characters were awful, the story was terrible and moved far too fast. Who falls in love after one cup of coffee? Also when her brother shows an interest in Ethan's sister, she tells him he will be a step father! Come on! It's just ridiculous. She likes his domineering ways but she hates it? I can't believe I wasted the time it took me to read this book and I have no intention of reading anything from this author again. I would suggest to this author to slow down and proof read your work or get it edited.

I liked this but it doesn't flow too well and the whole self-esteem and insecurities of the lead female became a bit tiring as the book progresses.....I also didn't think the chemistry was portrayed very well and the whole thing lacked a bit of oomph....its an OK book but there are alot of better books out there of this genre

Really disappointing - I agree with the other negative reviews. Neither main character was likeable, the storyline was tedious, and the whole thing needed drastic proof-reading - the hopping between first to third person was the most obvious and most irritating flaw. I couldn't bring myself to read beyond the first few chapters. Extremely unimpressed.

Ok book but confusing the way it switches from 1st person to 3rd person and back again eg. She turned around "BIlly?" "Hey" he said hugging her. "How are you?"
"Good. I heard you were working for Esquire."
"Guilty," he said with a smile.
"That's so great," I said as I patted his shoulder.
