Sabrina Sawyer (not Spellman as in the tv series) just wants to be popular and date the most popular guy at school, however she is only truely loved by her loyal friend Harvey.
Melissa Joan Hart, stars for the first time as Sabrina, a perfectly normal sixteen year old until she finds out she's a witch! When she finds a strage book, hidden by her aunts Sabrina begins to get suspicious but on the full moon, she finally finds some answers.
It's not as entertaining as the tv series but the movie is a must have for any Sabrina fan.

This is a dvd of Sabrina the teenage witch. I'm not sure if it's the original pilot for the tv series or not, as I have never seen it, but it would seem to be to me.
It's Sabrina's 16th birthday, and she's feeling a bit strange. She's just moved in with her two aunts, changed school and nothing is quite what it seems. Things get more complicated when she realised that she's a witch. She's now got to memorise spells, make friends and find a way to get a date for the school dance. It takes a little hocus pocus and a whole lot of adventure before Sabrina learns to control her powers and finds true love.
This is a must see for anyone that loves the tv series, and has always wondered just how it began. My only criticism is that none of the characters are played by the same people as in the series, except for Melissa Joan Hart. I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless, and recommend it to any fans

Its hard to find it in Region 2 but i have a copy and i watch it every Halloween :D

Its Sabrina Sawyer, finding out she's a witch and trying to use her magic to get the "it guy". Very noticeable differences between the movie and the tv series which came later, obviously she is Sabrina Sawyer instead of Spellman, Her personality is very dim in the movie compared to her outgoing, humorous personality on the tv series, and her aunts, you'll notice in the movie they're personalities are swapped, Zelda is the kooky one and Hilda is the serious one :D

Its a must have for any Sabrina Fan, very entertaining, love it!

The movie follows Sabrina Sawyer (later Spellman in the TV show) who has recently moved in with aunts Hilda and Zelda and finds out on her 16th birthday that she is a witch and is the new owner of a magic spellbook passed down from her father. Moving into a new school Sabrina is feeling lost and lonely until she meets eccentric non-conformist Marnie and slow but good hearted Harvey (Tobias Mehler), who right from the start has a soft spot for the young witch. She soon however begins to develop a crush on Seth, the school's eye candy shall we say (played by a then VERY young Ryan Reynolds with a haircut I think he would rather forget!). However, Seth is already dating Katy Lemore (Lalainia Lindbjerg), the most popular girl in school (later fashioned into the show's obnoxious cheerleader Libby Chessler). Sabrina, feeling somewhat depressed about her 'abnormality' as a witch begins to feel more positive about her powers realising that she can use them to give her love life a helping hand. With guidance and caution from her aunts Sabrina must find a way to attract Seth's attention without casting a potentially dangerous love spell. Consulting her spellbook she starts to use a little magic to get Seth to notice her and sure enough when Katie dumps Seth (with the intention of making him want her evenmore), Sabrina is overjoyed to find herself with the Westbridge's most desirable jock and with a date to the school's Spring Fling. Katie however, is not so overjoyed and since learning of Sabrina's magical secret sets out to expose her. It is up to Sabrina to stop Katie before her secret is revealed and hang on to her dream date.Read more ›

This was the first 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' movie, it started the TV series, and starred Melissa Joan Hart, who carried on through all 7 seasons of the TV series. It's very good and enjoyable, although Melissa was playing a 16 year old witch, she was actually as an actress about 20 years old when starting this role.
There are 2 other movies that were made during the life time of the TV series. 'Sabrina Goes To Rome', and 'Sabrina Down Under', neither of them have been released on DVD that I know of ! There's also a 'Making of' episode 'Totally Sabrina', again I don't think it's on DVD.
