You never have enough USB ports, right? Time to change that!
As with most things the 1st impressions are important and I was pleased with the build quality of this 4-port USB 3.0 hub. Unlike the cheap ones I have had in the past this one felt robust and well-constructed. A nice audible click on the micro switches with a glowing blue LED light to show the port is active.
I tried various USB devices in this ranging from keyboards, mice, USB flash pens, charging cables and an external HDD. I was surprised that it could power my external 2.5” HDD as most hubs fail to do this.
I had no issues at all, a very positive user experience. Not much to else to say really. It’s probably the best USB 3.0 hub I have used and would not hesitate to recommend this to my friends and family.

I'd have liked a longer output cable but that's a minor issue, it can easily be extended when I can be bothered to look out the cable I have lying around somewhere, but as it is I no longer need to keep moving my Hard Drives around and hot-swapping them to get them connected; they're both permanently connected to the Hub, which frees up space around my Laptop and I no longer run the risk of knocking them over. I can now transfer data from one drive to the other directly, rather than having to move it to my Laptop, swap the drives over and then move it to the other drive, a HUGE time saver!
Most of the time all connected at the same time is a bluetooth dongle for my VOIP headset, ext HDD, charging various electronics and I must say this has been a dream. Quick charging even when more than one item is charging. I did a bit of shopping around and this just seemed to cover all the bases. And it is small, I have the wire coming from under my amplifier which is next to my monitor and you would'nt notice it was there if it wasnt for the amount of wires I use!
I have had a variety of hubs in the past, the last two being USB 3.0 and they just were either shoddy design and when I was using with my laptop they just broke down on me. I do not need to worry with this, it is a very solid unit if you were to use it for extending your laptop USB ports.
Great buy, I cannot actually find fault with this product so 5 stars it is :)
I was very pleased with the speedy dispatch & quick delivery & it appears to be exactly what I wanted for the wife & I whilst we were in France touring. I had not expected it before we left, & asked my son to post it to us in France, but this was not so as it came the day before we left. I tried it out briefly & was very satisfied with the product. Unfortunately our mobi-wifi has not been able to pick up any connection so far, but we are staying on a campsite that has free wifi and will be able to try it out further soon. I will endeavour to give you a feedback fairly soon, as we have been 'chilling out' after 6 months of helping our son redecorate his house. (I bought a 7 port previously from another supplier which did not work at first try, they sent a replacement & that was the same, so my money was refunded & binned them as requested). I read the reviews on this & 3.0 and all appeared to be favourable, if not excellent!
The little lead is short enough not to get tangled up with everything else, but long enough to get the ports to the side of the PC where you can get to them.
I also like how you can switch individual ports off and on as required. Easier than unplugging the device you want to disconnect.
So far, it has worked without any problem with my keyboard, mouse and a couple of other USB 2 devices plugged in.
I haven't used it for charging, but as it is USB-powered that should work, provided you don't overload the port it is plugged into. If you do need more power, there is a 5v power supply socket provided, but you'll have to find your own power supply to fit it.
This is a must for someone needing more USB ports on their PC.
***A word of warning***, as the cable is very short, you may require a USB extender. Make sure to buy a Usb 3.0 extender otherwise you won't be able to enjoy the 3.0 speeds which this hub already supports.
