Ideal as a second vac in and around the home, this ultra-lightweight vac weighs in at a measly 2.3 kgs and yet manages to pack a whopping 90Wmax of power. When used in hand-held format, it's just 1.1 kgs and ideal for stairs and nooks and crannies!
In stylish red colour with a neat charging base on which you can store the 2 vacuum tools, the StickVac Pro is ergonomically designed for the young and not-so-young alike. In upright mode, it's fitted with the floor brush whose brush bar is powered to a best-in-class 3000rpm, picking up efficiently on carpets and hard floors alike. Conveniently, there is an upper on/off switch so in upright mode, it's easy to operate - no bending down. When used hand-held (the handle pops out of the body by pressing both side buttons) you can use it with or without the two tools (one is a crevice tool, one is an upholstery brush) and of course that hand-held part has its own on/off switch.
Stickvac Pro 3000 is designed for carpets and rugs (though high pile is not recommended) as well as all hard floor surfaces. As it's cordless, you can safely use it outside and it's ideal when cleaning cars and caravans.
In common with all efbe items, it comes with a 12-month domestic use warranty and our UK located telephone Helpline for advice and any spare parts.
StickVac Pro 3000 frame (requires assembly and modest dexterity) and vac handle
charging base in 3 click together parts
power adaptor lead (plugs neatly into the rear of the charging base pillar)
2 vac tools that stow on the charging base

Not very helpful if you have limited floor space.
So as the guide suggests, it's a handheld vacuum cleaner that can mount into a floor-sweeper base. I wasn't holding out high hopes but it's actually good enough for doing a couple of rooms if you do them regularly, although I doubt it has the oomph to deal with carpets properly. The hand-held part is easy to remove and replace and works perfectly well too.The whole thing sits in a charger base which is only a tiny bit bigger than the thing itself so can be easily left wherever you'd normally store it.
Unfortunately after a few uses it stopped picking things up with the base. The handheld part still worked perfectly. A quick investigation showed it was clogged with dog hair (as anyone who has a Labrador knows, that stuff gets everywhere and is one of the main reasons you'd buy one of these). I unclogged it and it worked, but then packed up again.
A bit of investigation with my new favourite toy - CrazyFire 2 in 1 USB Endoscope,5M Cable 5.5mm Diameter Android Phone Inspection Camera Waterproof Snake Borescope for Android Phones With OTG and UVC Function Win8 Win10 Win7 Windows 2000 XP Vista - revealed the problem - a little blob of glue where two sections of it join was sticking out across the tube, and hair was getting trapped there and plugging it up. Ten seconds with a Dremel fixed it right up.
Still giving it four stars because it now works absolutely perfectly, and is actually more capable than you'd expect, but without an endoscope and a Dremel to hand it would have been useless within a week.
However I do have two gripes. Firstly, after using the handheld, when replacing it into the main unit it is obviously necessary to hold it vertical, which often results in whatever you've vacuumed up dropping back out on to the floor. So even if you've only used it very briefly, it is necessary to empty the dust cavity before returning it to the main unit.
Second gripe is the positioning of the on/off button. When returning the unit to the charger, the button is positioned exactly where it's logical to hold the unit in order to ensure a connection. The result is that as you grasp the cleaner to put it back, you inadvertently turn it on. Similarly, I've found that when I return the handheld unit I sometimes accidentally turn that on.
However these aren't major issues so overall I'm happy with the purchase.
For what it is, it performs OK. The suction isn't amazing, but it's about what I would expect for this style of product. It picks up fluff and other small items from my carpet pretty well. I would say that most of its cleaning ability is down to the brush bar, which seems to be pretty good.
The suction on the handheld 'dust buster' part is about on a par with other similar devices that I have used in the past. But when it's put in the main stick part, there is a larger surface area and the suction isn't really there very much. It seems just about adequate to suck up any particles that have been agitated by the brush bar. I would say this device is good for surface / aesthetic cleaning, but probably doesn't perform a deep down clean that you would get from a more powerful corded cleaner.
I never seem to have a great deal of dust collected in the canister after I've finished cleaning my bedroom.... but this could probably be because I clean daily so there isn't much time for much dust to build up in the first place?
I was a bit disappointed that you can't wash out both parts of the filter like you can with most vacuum cleaners. You have to buy a new inner filter every 6 months according to the instructions. (And they're not cheap). Although I will say the filter system is MUCH better than the one on my Black and Decker dustbuster (which consists of a thin piece of cloth).
I agree with the other reviewer who had a gripe with the button placement. I've lost count of the number of times I've accidentally switched it on as I've been returning it to the charging Base. I have not had any problems with the debris falling out on the floor.
The quoted 25 minutes runtime seems pretty adequate, and it seems to take about 8 hours to charge up.
It would have been nice if the top handle folded down for storage. But for the price you can't expect everything!
