The colours are a bit uneven - the shades of purples & browns could have been closer together and blues further apart. My mum;s given me a pack of the halfsize of these pens - fewer colours but better balanced shades.

Though they have lasted very well - I've used them a lot and nothing's run out yet. The tips have stayed perfectly fine and not splayed or disappeared (and I've been a bit heavy handed sometimes).

It always annoys me you don't get told exactly what's in there so: black & a mid/silver grey, very dark purple and a mid lilac, a dark red and a scarlet red, a dark magenta pink, a barbie pink and a fleshy pink, a very dark brown and a warm fawn brown, nice bright orange and a bright but not florescent sunflower yellow, a lime green, a darkish grass green and a blueish pine dark green, a dark blue, a dark turquoise and a light turquoise, and a sky blue.

I quite like the packaging, but the hexagonal bottom of the pens catches on the way back in and I've knocked them all flying a few times, so not for the clumsy unless you like tidying them up again several times a session.

Would definitely buy again, though without the fancy box.

I have a confession to make. This is something that has haunted me for some years. It has ruined relationships and has left me ashamed and bankrupt. I don't want to admit this, but the fact is; I'm a stationery-phile. Many a day I have pulled my hood up to hide my face and prowled the aisles of Paperchase or WHSmith, basking in the taudry act of pen shopping. "It's just one pen" I'll tell myself, but soon one pen becomes two dozen pens, a notebook and a kitsch jar of paperclips. The look of disgust on the sales assistant's face is enough to make me scurry back to my flat, brown paper bag full of plunder in hand, and shut my curtains so that the world can't see me while I write.

But then I came across this sexy set of fineliners. They are long-lasting, have stylish colours and allow me to colour in my art-therapy colouring book. They come in a little deskset that opens up and allows you to organise your colours in the most satisfying ways possible. They don't seem to smudge, and you can draw with them or write a letter without that clunky affect you get with felt-tips where it bleeds and becomes illegible. But the best thing about it is it can be bought online, where no one knows you or can judge you. You can colour with the peace of mind that only comes with anonymity.

Very happy with this Point 88 Set, As the case is a handy way of storing whilst i'm out and about.

* Lovely bright colours and always consistently good quality pen's by Stabilo too. Ink dries almost instantly.
* Using the 88 with a Fine 0.4mm nib for outlining and very intricate details, You can also buy the 68's with a 1.00 mm nib for filling in larger areas in coordinating colours too.

I mainly use mine for adult colouring in, these are perfect for tiny details & very intricate design's, I have added few pictures of these pens, plus a couple of the page's i have coloured in from The Art Of Mindfulness Book, using these plus the point 68's. These pens last for ages and the quality is always the same, when stocking back up after running out. So people that colour in Johanna Basford & Millie Marotta books or similar styles these are a really good match with loads more colours in the range too.

Hope this helps you figure out if these are for you or not..X

As a uni student these did come in handy, although beware using them on tracing paper as the ink really does run when wet.
Also keep tabs on them....they DO get nabbed by jealous colleagues/schoolmates!

I basically bought these pens because my girlfriend has a smaller set of 10, which I was using all the time! I obiously had tried the pens before I bought them, but they still amaze me :) Great for colouring in, shading, underlining... Everything !

I wasn't sure whether to buy the pack of 12 mini pens or the pack of 10 full size but I am pleased with my decision to get the desk set of 20. I would agree with a previous reviewer that the colour distribution is uneven - 5 blue shades compared to 3 green and 1 orange and 1 yellow. I prefer the blue shades anyway so that doesn't bother me. Most of the shades are very pigmented. Three of the colours (yellow, light brown, peach) don't stand out much on white paper but are still ok for underlining and drawing with. All the pens arrived in good condition.
The set looks smart and because of the holder I won't lose them as easily. I use these pens for note-taking, highlighting, writing birthday cards and small sketches/drawings. I wouldn't use them for colouring in because it would take ages.

These pens are great for the price of £6.99 which is what i paid for them. the majority of the pens flow very smoothly but i have found the odd one a little scratchy. They are great for little intricate details on adult colouring books and i have found them not to bleed through the pages. I would recommend.

the pens are very good, last a while and dont split easily and look very pretty presentation wise. they take up less room than the steadler ones that previously had that split easily. However, the plastic case gets stratched quite easily
