Foam is too dense. I had to cut out foam in the shape of the contents or the lid would not close. You can try removing one of the three layers of foam but that did not work for my situation. Either contents would shift around inside or the lid simply would not close.
The latches must be taped down for shipping or they can be jostled open.
Very heavy. Like surprisingly heavy. Pelican cases have better locks and seem lighter though that's an off the cuff assessment on weight. Less expensive than pelican but you will pay more if you are shipping it by weight.
If you are buying to dedicate to contents and cut out the foam to fit and not shipping then the savings may be worth it.
If you are buying as a general case for different objects and/or paying by weight to ship then make a careful assessment of pros and cons.
