Far to lightweight and fragile to trust with a DSLR
on 3 March 2018
The legs are good, stiff, but not unmanageable. However the tripod is let down by the very lightweight plastic centre, where the legs join and the column that holds the bolt that attaches the head/camera is located. On mine the screw split the plastic (as it's countersunk so pushes the plastic out!) and this may have contributed to cracks forming where the legs attach. It had to go back for a refund. See attached pictures. If I had one that isn't yet damaged, I'd put a metal collar around the plastic where the screw goes (looks like a 12mm inside/14mm outside would do) and a washer under the head of the bolt. I'd still be unhappy about trusting a DSLR to it though.
