As a massive Bleach fan I really wanted to play a game of my beloved anime. However the game does not completely deliver. Although it is amazing to play as my favorite characters like Ichigo and Kenpachi the lack of game-play and arenas make the game a little lackluster.

Fans of the series will adore the attention to detail in this fighter. The inclusion of many of the characters, some of which have to be unlocked makes the game. The cut scenes between fights are fantastic. The control system takes some getting used to but isn't terrible; this was a launch title in Japan so there was no feedback on successful usage of the controller and nun-chuck during development. This has caused a slightly tricky take on the traditional fighter punch/kick control system. However, once mastered the game plays like an episode of the massively popular anime.

I'm a Big fan of bleach and im eager to see more, however this game is far too short and nintendo have obviously only thought about the controls and thats it.

Neither does this game follow the story in "story mode", you fight all of 7 characters and theres the credits rolling down your screen. I played dragonball z for the wii and thought it was very good, graphic and gameplay wise and controls were also avery fitting with the sensor for kamahamama waves ect. This game needed more planning behind it like DBZ.

I sincerily hope that nintendo give this title a sequal that has a lot more to offer.

I really love this game, the fact it's on the Wii is even better because you get a good feel for it, and feel like your in battle. I'm indeed a hardcore Bleach fan, but it's a shame there isn't many decent ones in the UK, i think this ones better then all the other ones. The only reason i gave it 4 stars because i just feel it could use that little extra more, it's good at single player at the start, but once you finish the story mode and get all the characters and items, then your only option is Versus Mode, unless you wish to do it all over again. It's really good when it's multiplayer though, just grab a mate and slash your opponent. My older brother doesn't watch Bleach, nore is interested in it, but even he likes to play it. It's a brilliant game, i hope they release another one which can be purchased in the UK, with more characters and more story lines. For Big Bleach fans, i highly recommend.

I would say that Bleach Shattered Blade is a perfectly suited game for those who have never got on with the standard 'press A,B,Z,C+A,B,Z,(UP)+A,C in order to do a semi-decent attack' approach that most Beat 'em Ups seem to adopt. What we have is the casual gamers fighter to the core- something that anyone will be able to pick up with ease. The lack of depth and fine tuning does dent the appeal of the game slightly, but the base gameplay is decent enough to still make the experience worthwhile. Don't expect greatness, but expect a bit of fun.
