I have the big brother of this book compiled by the same author (The Oxford Spelling Dictionary) which I have found excellent and bought this School Spelling Dictionary thinking it would be similar but more compact. It's certainly compact and the layout is good, but the list is rather limited and many words in common use are missing. Fine for younger school children but not comprehensive enough for adults or older scholars.
