Born and brought up in Scotland, S G Klein was educated by a governess called Miss Brodie before being sent to boarding school. Leaving school at the age of seventeen she studied English Literature at London University and afterwards did a number of jobs before finally becoming an editor at a small publishing house in London. In 1997 Klein published her first novel 'Fermentation' [Bloomsbury Ltd] under the pseudonym, Angelica Jacob. Subsequently Klein moved to Cornwall to live in Port Isaac before moving back to Scotland in 2009 where she now lives and works.
'Confession' was published in 2013 and is the story of Charlotte Bronte's relationship with her French tutor, Monsieur Constantin Heger.
