This book is the best I have read in a long time. Ryan is heartbroken and still grieving over the death if his wife Claire. He us raising their daughter the best way he can. He is alone. Lonely and just getting through. Untill a chance encounter with Amber. She opened his heart but his daughter was still having a hard time getting over her mother's death. Ryan & Amber start to fall in love but she can't replace Claire.

This book was so good, I’ve read it twice already!
I ploughed my way through it when I first got it after reading just the first few chapters, honestly it was a late night I wanted to see what was going to happen but a week later I did the sensible thing and took a second bite at the cherry and read it one lazy Sunday, this is the perfect book to spend the day with.
Ryan lost his wife Claire, the love of his life way too soon and left alone with his daughter Olivia he has fought to be the father she needed and that his wife would have wanted for her.
His world spins on the axis of Olivia, he has nothing but his work as a police officer and his family and his reason to breathe… Olivia.
But as the years have passed he has only ever concentrated on what she needs, completely forgoing anything or anyone for himself but Olivia is a teenager now and she is stepping into adulthood with both feet and Ryan can feel his grip on his baby girl is slipping, it is a far from easy time for them both, despite the close bond that they have.
Ryan has never shown any interest in forming any relationship, his life ended when Claire took her last breath but can a new breeze that has just blown into town, be just what this beautiful man needs to blow away the cobwebs and wake up his slumbering libido.
Amber has upped sticks and moved across the country to take up the reigns at the bakery she was left when her grandma passed away. She has been living or should I say existing in the city but with parents that were a shadow in her life, she has no ties to anyone, she barely remembers a happy day in her childhood, this is her chance to make herself happy!
Can she make this work… sure she can?

I received a free copy to read and review for wicked reads review team.
I really enjoyed this book. It hit me right in the feels. I felt it was a great start to the series and can't wait to see where the other books lead.
Ryan is just going through the motions of life after his wife died suddenly.
amber moves to town to start a new life for herself.
they meet and sparks fly, the problem is ryans daughter is not ready to share the father. this is a second chance love book and I loved every sweet minute of it. it deserves five stars I gave it.

I finished this book within half an hour. It gripped me from the start and I loved it. I loved amber and how selfless she was. She loved Ryan with all of her heart. And she loved him enough to let him go, for the sake of his daughter Olivia’s feelings.

Ryan is a widow. He lost the love of his life Claire three years ago. Left with a fifteen-year-old daughter, Ryan hasn’t moved on since. He is getting on with his life and his work but he isn’t really living. That is until Amber enters his life.

Amber has just moved to town. After her boyfriend cheats on her and she loses her job, Amber leaves Chicago. Buying her late grandmothers bakery, Amber decides to open the bakery as her own. Amber soon meets Ryan and Ryan makes the huge decision to date Amber. But all to soon Amber and Ryan soon realise that Olivia is struggling with the fact that her father is moving on and her late mother is becoming even more of a distant memory. Amber does the right thing and takes a step back for the sake of Olivia.

Will Ryan and Amber get they’re happily ever after? Will Olivia accept Amber?

I love CA Harms work. I can never wait to get my hands on her new releases, but to be honest I wasn't jumping into this one! I thought it was going to be very sad and didn't know if I would deal well with the storyline.

I have to say I completely loved this one even though there were parts that had me ugly crying!

Ryan lost the love of his life 3 years ago and he was still struggling to put himself together again. His only reason for getting out of bed each morning was his 15 year old daughter Olivia.

The relationship Ryan had with his daughter was so heartwarming. I loved their bond and although Olivia was giving him trouble Ryan did everything he could to smooth things over with her.

I loved Ryan instantly, he was a cop but also a cowboy on the side! What more could a girl ask for?

Amber had just moved to Montana with her best friend Bailey to open up a bakery her late grandmother had owned! The friendship she had with Bailey was great to read and I loved how Bailey always pushed her out of her comfort zones.

Amber was so selfless and she had a great outlook on things. She was very mature for 25 years old.

I know this family is going to bring us so much more fun and probably a bit more drama!! I can't wait to hear Jacksons story next!
