Russell Streeter was born in Barbados in 1979 to an English father and Guyanese mother. He grew up in the south east of the island, in the parish of St. Philip near the world famous Crane Beach (and the lesser-known Shark’s Hole).
Growing up he spent as much time as possible in the water, on the water, or sitting next to the water. He has visited every beach in the island and sailed around it several times. In 2005, Russell succumbed to his heritage (1/3 of it, anyway) and emigrated to the bright lights of Southampton, England. Russell lives in Hampshire with his wife and two children.
